    Check in was smooth & friendly, hotel clean and modern functional bar / food area which is 24 hours. Breakfast was great, enough choice and quality was good. Hotel in business area - handy for airport / metro & Ubers are reliable and cheap to get you to the touristy areas.The only issue for us was the noise, there were a group of youngsters staying at the hotel (probably living their best life, no parents etc) not sure if it was an organised trip but unfortunately they were very noisy a lot coming and going in the corridors, doors slamming which led to a very disturbed night sleep. Which is a shame as everything else was more than adequate. Rooms are small but more than enough for a couple of nights stay and very clean and smelt so nice up entry.

    The Ibis José Malhoa hotel has a fantastic location for passengers like us who often travel to Lisbon on business trips. It is far enough from the main tourist areas to avoid the crowds, yet close enough to take the metro and reach the city center in 10 minutes.The room is adequate considering the price. If the prices were more reasonable, our overall impression would be even better.In general, the hotel is comfortable, and we love its location for avoiding the crowds. The staff is very nice and courteous. All our requests were promptly attended to, and nothing went unattended.We would return if the price is proportional to the services and category of the hotel, especially considering it is an Ibis brand and a low-cost option from ACCOR.

    This was a lovely hotel, cosy and clean room, tasty breakfast. Brilliant location as a 10 minute walk away from one of the main train stations, and very close to the blue metro line which takes you directly into the city.

    Amazing location and delicious breakfast!! We could get buses, uber and walks everywhere! Although small was fine for the 3 of us in one room.

    Stayed at the Ibis recently and while the location is very convenient – close to the metro and shops – the overall experience left much to be desired.The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. The photos online do not accurately reflect the condition of the rooms, which was disappointing upon arrival. Although the bed was comfortable and everything was generally functional, the lack of a room safe was concerning; we ended up taking passports and iPads out with us daily because we didn’t feel comfortable leaving valuables behind.The most alarming incident was a fire alarm activation at 4 a.m. that was silenced after just 10 seconds of activating, with staff making no apparent effort to investigate the cause. This is a serious safety concern – in the UK, this behaviour would be unacceptable and potentially punishable. It felt like the alarm was silenced simply to keep guests calm rather than ensure safety. There was no apology at checkout nor was there a sign put up in reception in the morning apologising for the inconvenience.As part of my job is fire safety engineering and I cannot understand why this hotel does not have a delay on the fire alarm panel for staff to investigate the alarm before a full alarm sounds just like any other hotel. (Common practice in near enough every hotel)We didn’t try the hotel restaurant, so can’t comment on the food, but overall, this property needs serious attention to safety protocols and refurbishment to justify its price.
