    DO NOT STAY/ EMPLOYEE THEFT

    rating01 Jun 2026

DO NOT STAY. We stayed Le Consulate in Lisbon for a family trip between May 14, 2026 and May 17, 2026. It was me, my wife and 3 adult children. We also had our friends with their adult children on the trip that also stayed at this hotel. On 1 occasion, hotel staff left our hotel room open and unlocked for the day. Our friend's room was left open on 2 separate days. On Saturday May 16, 2026, upon return to our hotel room, my son's airpods were stolen from his suit case. We traced the airpods to a city about 1 hour away. We immediatley reported this to hotel staff. We were told the hotel would look into it and amke sure were were taken care of. The value of the airpods are $250. On SUnday upon checking out, the front desk clerk said there is nothing that can be done as of now but that management would look into and look at the cameras to see who entered our room. She furthr said we cannot report to the police since they are closed on Sunday. This did not make sense to me so I had her call the manager who was not un duty. The manager said they asked all the employees and no one admitted to taking the airpods. What a shock, no one admitted to stealing? Then he tried to put the blame on us, that we had no proof and that it is our responsibilty for any items in the room. He then states that he watch the videos and that no one entered our room. When I said, Who made the beds? Who dropped off clean towels, he did not have an answer. Obbiosly, the hotel staff entered our room and the airpods were taken. I then went to the pplice stattion. Lukily, its right next to the cruise port. I reported the stolen item. I aksed for a credit. I never received one. Although I was told several times that the General Manager or the Director of the Hotel would contact me no one ever did. I would be very concerned if a hotel employee was stealing. I would not stay at this hotel. Hotel rooms being left open, stolen item, and no hotel follow up.

Great hotel in a great location

    rating25 Apr 2026

We enjoyed our 5 nights here and the noise of happy people in the square through the night but closing the windows made it very quiet. Staff were great & helpful. Room was big & very clean. Would recommend here if you want to be in town amongst the hustle & bustle of Lisboa!

    Beautiful suite in prime location

    rating01 Apr 2026

This is a lovely hotel-friendly helpful staff-brilliant location and beautifully appointed apartment. Spacious and very tasteful decor. Having “The Tribe “available for drinks music and breakfast was wonderful. The only negative is that the party noise from the square was really intrusive and disturbing-it’s a shame it’s not double glazed as so noisy until 4-5 am every morning!

Great hotel in a good location.

The unit was clean and well equipped. The staff was very helpful securing cars and tours for us. We had the 2 bedroom 2 bath unit it was giant. Very clean and quiet. My ONLY criticism was the showers lacked any threshold to keep the water in. Water would pour out onto the floor and we had to roll up a towel to stop it. The bathroom floors felt a little soft like it was an issue for some time. But overall a great place and would highly recommend.

Large rooms, well appointed, and a great value!

    rating14 Mar 2026

Our party included my wife, me, and my adult daughter, so I was looking for lodging in Lisbon offering privacy and, if possible, separate rooms, and Le Consulat was the perfect answer. Our rooms were huge! Basically, an entire apartment complete with two king beds in separate rooms, two complete bathrooms, a dining area, and a sitting/living room outfitted with a mini kitchen. It was just what we wanted. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and professional, and all spoke excellent English (a big help to us since we only knew a smattering of Portuguese). We very much enjoyed our stay and, at the price, I consider it a bargain for the accommodations we had. The hotel is centrally located, and we walked to restaurants, shopping, and to locations of interest. I highly recommend Le Consulat for your visit to Lisbon!
