  Disappointing Stay – Poor Maintenance, Dirty Apartment, and Unreliable Hot Water

  I would not recommend staying here. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.From the start, several basic items were missing from the apartment. For example, the kitchen was supposed to have four drinking glasses, but there were only two. The soap dispenser in the bathroom did not work, and the safe was also broken.One of the biggest issues was the hot water. At times there was no hot water at all, and when there was, it only lasted about 10 minutes. This makes it extremely difficult if more than one person needs to shower, since the hot water runs out almost immediately.Cleanliness was another major problem. The floors were very dirty—so much so that you couldn’t comfortably walk barefoot—which made it clear the apartment had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. We also found stains on the bedsheets.The apartment itself felt very run down compared to the photos online. The furniture looked worn out and beat up, and several pieces had suspicious stains. The bed was also very uncomfortable.We contacted the property multiple times about these issues, but they take a very long time to respond to inquiries and problems. When they did respond, the issues were not properly addressed or resolved.Overall, the photos are not reflective of what the apartment actually looks like in person, and the lack of responsiveness made the experience even more frustrating. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you are considering staying here.

  We contacted the property 24 hours before travelling to inform them that we had Covid and were very unwell. Asked if we could get a credit for our stay as we travel to Portugal often. Beatrice was colder than a reptile. Said no & referred us to their terms. Knowing how to communicate with customers is key. We will never stay here. Purely money grabbing & don’t care about the individuals. Furthermore, having reserved this via Booking.com - they wouldn’t allow us to leave this review. Therefore not honest & transparent.

  STAY AWAY! Yes, it is very close to the centre, but as there is no responsible staff, only rude cleaners, it is impossible to get help, since everything has to be done by mail. 1. the elevator was out of order the entire week, and we (ladies in our 70ties) stayed in the apartment on the 5th floor. 2. We finally got the mastercode to the safe so it could be reset after 1 day 3. the shaft running the entire length of the building from the top with an open skylight to the bottom, emitted a constant 24/7 noise that prevented us from opening the window - luckily, we had earplugs, so we could get some sleep. 4. The sofabed had very hard metal rods that hurt when lying down 5. A false fire alarm (from somebody showering) sent everybody out onto the street - a cleaner came, but NO information, no help whatsoever, since she did not want !!! to say anything, although she clearly spoke Portuguese 6. "ventilation in the bathroom was totally covered in old, fluffy material 7. The luggage storage at the entrance did not work, so we lost the 2 euros and got into an argument with a rude cleaner. All we got from the management was "so sorry for your inconvenience" - no compensation whatsoever - only useless points from Expedia, which we most certainly have no use for, since we are not going to use them again!

  Very bad place to stay.

  This place is well located but the hallways and the elevator smell like real crap. We couldn't stand it. There is mold in the bathtub and overall the place is dated and not well taken care of. I will not recommend it to anyone.

  I would advise not booking here. It’s modern, clean and in a great location however we had very poor sleep every night. The walls are paper thin and the apartments are all on top of each other. You can hear every conversation, TV, even cutlery on plates as if they’re in the room with you. Also the noise from people coming and going in the hallways is very loud. This was made worse due to the guests next door being very loud until around 2am every night. We requested a room change the first night which was declined, we then emailed the second night and it was ignored. On return home I requested a partial refund and this was also declined due to “some noise can be expected as the building is located in one of the busiest areas of downtown Lisbon” .We had never once made a complaint regarding external noise from the street. Do not book here if a good night's sleep is important to you.
