  Wen I arrive the guys at the hostel were very friendly... but the hostel ist very much unorganised, dirty the sheets are very old and don't look clean, the towels the same I think was rust on them... the room is full of mold and I don't think that's healthy the bed it's from 1980 probably cous the madras it's hard and you can feel the metal inside the madras. The toilets good luck locking them, if you go to the toilet you need to hold the door not fun at all 2 days wen I try to shower was not any hot water... and no soap neither for washing hands... try to call them but no phone was working... a terrible experience I don't think they should be aloud to be open a place like that.I was surprised that they had toilet paper!

  The garbage rooms

  If you reserved a room in this hostel, You should cancel it now. This is my friendly advice for you. I can’t imagine how they are offering these kind of garbage rooms to people. So dirty, no privacy at all, bathrooms out of service, smells (I can’t describe what that smells, more like homeless people staying there). If they have offered the hostel for free, I would not have stayed there. Hope the owner of the hostel reading my review and will do something to fix and provide good service, if not, hope this hostel will be closed soon. Bcos they are lying people and taking their money by offering unacceptable garbage rooms.

  Great location. Old and a little run down inside.

  This is a tough one to rate. The location is awesome and the staff helpful. It is on a the streetcar line on a big hill in the old part of the city. Having said that, it is old. Not neat and old, just old. I don't stay in a lot of hostels and this fit my image of one. Old, shared bath. Our private room for 4 was private except for the people who needed to pass through to get to their bunks in a different room. Having said all that, the location just up the hill from some neat restaurants, the tile on the walls of the buildings, having the cable car run right outside our door pretty much made up for any issues with the actual property. And the price in the middle of summer was quite good as well. We spent about 95 Euro ($109) for two nights for four people. It wasn't like we were going to be there much anyway, so the price was excellent. If you are looking for a basic bed, this works but don't expect anything resembling luxury.

  Worst hostel I've ever stayed in

  We wanted to stay 3 nights and left after one. Instead of the 4 bed and 8 bed dorm beds we booked and PAYED we ended up in a dorm with 14 people. It was so loud you couldn't sleep at all and it was dirty. When we complained they didn't care at all and we had to pay the full 3 nights anyways. Very bad place. Don't go there!! We stayed in many hostels all over the world and that is the unfriendliest one I've seen so far!

  Terrible odors in hotel entrance and the rooms. The place does not correspond to the photos presented on booking.com. The pictures were either taken when they opened a few years ago or they have been photoshopped !The walls are ruined, damaged by water marks and oeeling paint, filth and dirtiness is everywhere. Hairs and strange spots on the mattress and bedspread. Used Bandaids left on the floor!Non functional electric socket. Tables were not washed (marks of « something » that was put on it, broken cabinets and wardrobe. Multiple marks of shoes and killed insects on the walls with shoe marks. The outdoor area looks like a junkyard. The room doesn’t look like the pictures, strangely we don’t see the mold on the walls and cabinets in the photos the hotel posts. Beware, suspicion of bed bugs in the bed, see comments on Tripadvisor, dated from last week. Considering how dirty the place is, I am not surprised. The manager did not deny the bed bugs, and said he had treated them in one week. Since when do we treat bed bugs as quickly as that ? We decided to leave and asked to be refunded our prepaid four nights. He refused to reimburse us. We wanted to find an arrangement, pay a night without staying. He said that it was not possible. For hippies , pot smokers that love to share everything and even grime, go ahead. Otherwise, forget about it ! Really !
