    Mold in the AC unit which contaminates the air you breath

    Overall horrible experience and I would never recommend that place. Stayed in Superior Studio 43A. This place is contaminated with mold, the mold is IN THE AC UNIT (see attached picture). So all the air you breath will contain mold spores. I know mold is common in Portugal and there is usually some in the bathroom or around windows but AC unit is new to me. I could feel the old socks smell throughout and had to leave the apartment early once I discovered the cause of the issue. Booking dot com wouldn't do anything about it and the accommodation told me to talk to Booking dot com who said they couldn't resolve the issue with the accommodation.Stay away and research your places well.

    First the good news. Once we got into our room we were good. It was well outfitted, quiet, in suite laundry, comfy beds, and clean sheets. We were able to cook some meals in our space and it was laid out nicely enough so you didn't feel like you were eating in your bedroom. Good location for us, though lots of construction around that made the immediate location not so charming but got better just a block away. Had a great meal just around the corner and there was a charming little gelato shop nearby, so yes the location was good Now the bad news....what TERRIBLE customer service. I miss-booked an extra night and almost immediately asked to modify and got a big fat no without consideration.It was my bad as I did know it was not refundable but asking for a single night to be deleted didn't seem like an unreasonable request. Even when i tried to plead my case, all i got was a no no no. The tone of the responses was just plain rude Check in was difficult too, and the place is not at all well signed so I wasn't even sure I was in the right place. I got an email about advance check in 3 days in advance....what wasn't clear was that on the day of your arrival you had to use a not easy to find code contained in the email, use it to get in the lobby which even at that point didn't make it clear you were at the right place (though the fact that I got in made me feel like i probably was) , and then use a large touch screen to get access to your room The less than pleasant manner of communication continued when using the direct connect phone adjacent to the wide screen for check in. All I can think of is that these folks are overworked and underpaid/underappreciated, but geeze. The one shining light was a brief encounter with Kristiana who may have been the building manager who was waiting by our door to inform us that a repair was needed in our room. She was quite nice and saw my frustration offering to provide feedback about the check in process to someoneSo I guess I can't say "don't stay" but I'm not able to give it a thumbs up

    Rooms are fine and clean, location is also good - leaving a 1 star review for the horrendous customer service. See below.Really disappointed with the so called 24/h concierge service they say is offered - really not the case. My friend and I who were staying at the apartments were robbed at knifepoint (this description doesn't even explain how serious the situation was) very nearby to the apartments (on Monday 23rd October in the evening) on our way home (about 1-2 streets away from Green street which is right next to this location). We had no phones as they were stolen, thankfully my friend had memorised the door code or we could have been completely stranded. We called the concierge once inside via the free phone and were told someone would come to our apartment at 09:30 with a phone - no one arrived and when I contacted the property via email after leaving the country and checking out early they told me they said 10am and not 09:30 (which was not the case) and no refund for the two unused nights after early check out would be possible.We left early as we were extremely distressed by the experience (FYI we contacted Portuguese police as soon as it happened) and weren't sure if our stolen phones could be used to access the building as we had pictures of the codes on both of our phones.Understand it's not the responsibility of the apartments to look after individuals however considering this happened so close to this location was surprised by the attitude and lack of care.

    Bad booking experience

    We received a confirmation of our booking for two rooms from 25.12.2022 to 01.01.2023. But one week before the departure date, we received an email informing us that our booking had been cancelled because the credit card payment failed. We were not given the opportunity to resolve the issue. Although we checked with the bank and confirmed that the credit card was working.

    Had no running water for two whole days

    There was no running water in the whole apartment meaning you could not cook wash your hands shower etc. this was a massive inconvenience as they took a very long time to fix the problem and where being unhelpful. How can a hotel company not be able to fix their water problem for two days. There is no reception so you cannot even contact the manager. Whole place was a joke wouldn’t recommend.
