A wonderful visit to Lisbon

We had an excellent experience at M'AR De AR Auria. The location was convenient for visiting historical and cultural sites in Lisbon. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable with a lovely deck. The breakfast buffet was fresh, hot, and with many choices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Coffee, tea and popcorn are available all day.

The hotel has a great location, the staff was very nice and attentive to guest. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We also had a outdoor patio to our room,

Hotel M'AR De AR Auria was Excellent - Recommended!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel Nov 19-21, 2025. Our room was clean and comfortable which suited us nicely plus the hotel was conveniently located near many restaurants and retailers which we took advantage of. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were - it was an excellent experience. My wife had forgotten her passport and wallet in the safe at our previous hotel in Evora which is about 130 km to the east of Lisbon. Miguel immediately arranged to have her belongings brought to Hotel M'AR De AR Auria and it arrived the same day. He also helped me return my rental car to the drop off location. Driving in Lisbon is not easy so I was appreciative of his help. They also helped with printing off our boarding passes in time for our departure and arranged for our pickup. In other words, customer service at this hotel was excellent and staff took a personal interest in helping us with our travel problems. I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

This place is filled with bedbugs. Stayed there one night and was bitten from head to toe. When I wrote them about this they didn’t reply. Terrible experience. Don’t stay here!!

Cute Lisbon hotel.

A very cute hotel just outside of Lisbon centre and close to the airport. The rooms were clean, and fairly modern - although pretty small and basic, it was all we needed for our stay. We took an Uber into the centre most days (Ubers are cheap in Lisbon)! A few cons would be the bed - it’s extremely hard and the duvet was SO thin! And the other con would be noise from other rooms - we heard people next door to us when they were in the bathroom and people walking on the floor in the room above us felt like they were going to come through the ceiling. When it rained there was also a really annoying dripping noise outside on the metal balcony! Other than that I would recommend this hotel for a reasonably cheap stay in Lisbon if you’re happy to not be directly in the centre.
