Location

    Great hotel in a great city

    Just back from this lovely hotel. We spent most of the days out and back late evening. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and very well maintained. As a travel agent I will definitely be recommending this hotel to my clients. Lisbon is a great city with far more to do than I ever knew. TIPS: Get a Tuk Tuk for the day if there are a few of you. Visit the Time Out Market, its excellent and for a lovely restaurant try LA PAPARRUCHA!

    We stayed 4 nights at the Marques de Pombal for my birthday. The hotel is perfectly situated on the Ave Liberdade and it was just a short walk down to the main Rossio Square.The hotel staff are very welcoming and professional and the hotel is spotless. The buffet breakfast was very good with a range of hot and cold foods. We ate one night in the restaurant which was excellent. The staff even laid on a bottle of champagne and Pastel de Nata in our room for my birthday. Would definitely return.

    Great location close to Marques de Pombal Metro station and very walkable to the high end boutiques etc. Main shopping streets and restaurants not too far to walk either (or very easy by Metro)Reception was spotless, light and staff could not be more helpful if they tried! Twin room was comfortable, spotless and spacious - perfect for the 3 nights we were there. Even though the room overlooked the busy Avenue de Liberdade the only real noise we got was when sirens went past - overall exceptionally quiet.Breakfast was included and was continental style with a small hot selection - again ideal to set you up before going out for the day.We booked direct with the hotel and got a special deal of buy 2 nights get one free which made it exceptional value for the money for the hotel.

    Excellent hotel- fantastic location, the best staff, so professional, friendly and caring. Very comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and really fabulous breakfast with loads of choice and fresh selection daily. Bar food also excellent. Overall there’s real attention to detail and care for the guests at this hotel. Highly recommend for a Lisbon stay. It’s a four star that feels like a five star hotel. It was my birthday when we stayed and the hotel gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine and pastel de nata- such a considerate gesture and so kind. Regardless of whether they did this or not, they deserve a five star review because it’s just a great hotel. Very close to the metro, and the open top bus tours, strolling distance to the centre of the city which is very vibrant. Hotel is located on the premium shopping street of Lisbon so feels very safe and cosmopolitan.

    The place to stay!

    Great place. First class facility, service, helpfulness, location. Stayed here because of TripAdvisor recommendations. Very nice accommodations. Getting off cruise and arrived several hours before 2pm check-in expecting to check our luggage and come back later. But, without prompting, they came up with a room. Located on a wonderful avenue close to hop on hop off bus, restaurants and shopping. Had an evening meal at their restaurant. Manager was extremely attentive and meal was absolutely excellent as was price. But, they strongly recommended making reservations. Room and hotel are first class! As many others have said on TripAdvisor, this is the place to stay in Lisbon.
