    Very nice stay

    rating03 Jun 2026

You could almost confuse this hotel as a 4 star rather than 3 hotel hotel as it really is nice. In comparison we stayed in a self proclaimed 4 star hotel in Rimini last year and that was 2 at best. When we arrived we were skeptical as the girl that checked us in wasn't the friendliest but working in customer service is challenging and she may have been at the end of her shift so we let it slide. Lifts are really tiny and the directions to the rooms made no sense. We literally were taking on a loop around the floor when in reality our room was the opposite way straight down the hall. We worked that out quickly. Room is spacious and modern which a lovely bathroom. The shower was perfect and run fast at a good consistent temperature, though no extraction fan but it had a window. Bedroom had everything needed. Big wardrobe and a large safe. Big bed which was really comfortable though the pillows are awful. A coffee pod machine was a nice touch though didn't use it for coffee. A water machine was nice giving the option of still, still cold, and sparkling. There is a small fridge as well with some items for purchase but we used it for our own drinks that we took out during the day. The bedroom window has shutters which upon opening we were greeted but chefs on their balcony smoking, they were kept closed. We didn't need the air flow as the air conditioner worked perfectly. Breakfast is where a point is lost. The first day it was perfect, mango juice and a big selection of sweet pastries that were fresh. The second and third day Mango juice disappeared and the sweet pastries weren't the same and not as fresh. The cooked food doesnt stay hot under the lights so expect that to be cold, though the selection isn't great. Nice touches include yoghurt with chia seeds, plenty of rolls and bread, cold meat selections etc. One the first day we checked in for breakfast easily, the following two days the host didn't believe us when we gave our room number and couldn't find us, despite being at the top. Attention to detail. The hotel is very clean throughout with great lightning. Location was perfect. A short walk to the metro or one of the main stops for the trams and buses. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and all main places of interest in easy walking distance. Will visit again.

    Great location

    rating23 Apr 2026

Starting with the positives the room was clean, service was excellent, location was great and breakfast was very good. Ives at the front desk gave exceptional service assisting us with our transportation and even helping carry are bags to the sidewalk and into the car. The only reason we are not giving 5 stars is because the phone in the room did not work, there were no instructions on how to use the safe and there is limited storage for clothes. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at My Story Hotel Tejo, responded to this review Dear Guest,We value your feedback and the points you’ve highlighted. We’re delighted to hear your room met our high standards for comfort and cleanliness, and that our team provided the attentive service we strive for. Ives in particular will be pleased to know his efforts to assist with your arrival and departure made a positive impression. However, we regret any inconvenience experienced during your stay. Our in-room guides are designed to provide clear instructions for all amenities, and we’ve reminded our team to ensure these are thoroughly checked. For future visits, our reception colleagues are always available to assist with any immediate needs. It’s nevertheless wonderful to know that our central location allowed you to explore Lisbon with ease. Our team takes pride in helping guests discover the city’s vibrant culture and transport connections. We look forward to welcoming you back. With best wishes,Andre Cardoso, Assistent Manager

Temperature Issues Made Rest Difficult, Especially for Older Travelers

    rating01 Apr 2026

We stayed at My Story Hotel Tejo twice in March (March 17–19 and again on March 23). As older travelers, having a comfortable room and a good night’s sleep is especially important to us.Unfortunately, we experienced repeated problems with room temperature control. During our first stay, the temperature fluctuated significantly—from too cold (around 20°C) to very warm (up to 28.5°C)—despite several requests for adjustment. This made it difficult to sleep, particularly after a long journey. On one night, the temperature was set correctly and we slept well. However, on other nights, the room became too warm during the night, requiring us to contact the front desk again. In my previous European travels—across both budget and high-end hotels—I have never encountered this type of issue.During our return visit, the hotel managed the temperature much better, which we appreciated. For younger travelers, this may be a minor inconvenience, but for older guests, reliable room temperature is essential for both comfort and health.Later in our trip, we stayed at Mediodia Hotel in Madrid. Although the room initially felt warm due to the heater, the hotel provides individual air conditioning. Once we adjusted the thermostat, the temperature remained stable without any issues. In contrast, at My Story Hotel Tejo, the air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled by the hotel, and guests are unable to adjust the temperature themselves. If this issue is not addressed, the problem may persist for future guests. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at My Story Hotel Tejo, responded to this review Dear Qiuming,Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent visit. We appreciate your kind mention of our convenient location and the cleanliness of your room. However, we are truly sorry to hear that some aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how essential a consistent and comfortable environment is, especially after a long journey, and regret that the facilities did not offer you the level of ease and relaxation you needed during your initial stay.Nonetheless, we’re pleased that we were able to resolve the matter and ensure a more comfortable return visit for you.We do hope that you might consider visiting us again in the future.Kind regards,Andre Cardoso, Assistent Manager

    The perfect hotel for Lisbon!

    rating16 Mar 2026

This was a lovely hotel in such a good location for our trip to Lisbon. The hotel was modern and clean with everything we could need in the room. We didn’t use the restaurant but it looked like it had a good menu and space to eat!The room wasn’t huge but had a good amount of storage for our things and had enough room to move around the bed and get ready! The bathroom was so lovely and the shower was perfect pressure and temperature!Particular shout out to the staff at the hotel, they got us a room early for check in, were super helpful, always friendly when we came into the hotel and made the effort for special touches to make my birthday wonderful! I couldn’t fault them at all.I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can’t wait for my next stay in Lisbon as I will be back to this hotel!
