Location

Vasco da Gama Tower, one of Lisbon's most emblematic modern landmarks, was built for the 1998 World Exhibition (EXPO98). The hotel is just 3 km from Lisbon - Portela Airport, and close to the MEO Arena, the FIL international fair grounds (Feira Internacional de Lisboa), the Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Ciência Viva (Interactive Science Museum), the riverside leisure areas, the Vasco da Gama Bridge and the main points of access to Lisbon (IC17 CRIL, A1 North, A12 South and A8 West).

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 23-storey building with a lift and 186 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     An impressive hotel with the best view in Lisbon.

    Overall, a very impressive hotel with the best few in Lisbon. We were on the 18th floor, which overlooked the longest bridge in Europe. The hotel, which is very impressive because it’s one of the, if not the tallest building in Lisbon. This is truly a luxury hotel with incredible views. It’s located in the newer part of town. You’re greeted by well spoken and professional doorsmen. After entering into the hotel, you are immediately impressed by the view, looking upwards to 20 floors with what appear to be jellyfish type lighting structures. The elevators are clear so you not only get a view of the waterway, but also the interior of the hotel. The room was spacious with extremely comfortable beds, and bedding was top notch. My only complaint was that if you wanted privacy, the sitting room with beds was separated by the bathroom by two curtains. As mentioned previously about the breakfast, I would definitely agree that this was well worth it and not to be missed. Adjacent to but not affiliated with the hotel is a bar that actually looks over the hotel. You have to pay €15 per person for a drink at the top. Nothing to write home about except for the view. Outside the hotel there is a row of restaurants. There is also a gondola that travels along the water side from near the hotel down to an aquarium. I would say that the aquarium was average .There are also.nice pathways for those that like to jog or walk along the waterway. The electronics that control the lighting and the blinds work very well. There are two sets of blinds one which was opaque, the other translucent. I rarely eat dinner at a hotel but decided to eat at the river lounge restaurant at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality and service was top-notch. I had the veal which was cooked to perfection. One thing I would not miss is the dessert called the chocolate sphere.     Amazing hotel while on business

    Our company hosted a large International event at this hotel in January and I was really impressed by it. It was a true 5 stars experience which started with a very easy, fast and convenient check-in. The staff was outstanding and very professional throughout the property. I stayed in a suite overseeing the river and it was simply amazing. The suite was large, comfortable and very well equipped with an amazing view of the river. The property is simply beautiful and open with all the glass construction. I also enjoyed the gym which was large and well appointed. The pool and sauna area was also great and super well maintained. The bar was lively and breakfast in the morning offered so many great choices along with great service. I highly recommend this property and did not have any negative to say.     Disappointed with Breakfast services and administration

    We came to spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day for two nights. We were very disappointed with the breakfast service on New Year’s Day. It made the first day of our year very unpleasant due to the waitress who served our table area. She did not give us any service or attention at all. She probably assumed that we did not speak English or Portuguese and therefore did not give us any attention, despite the fact that I raised my hand many times. I complained to the manager, but it still made the start of our year very unhappy.On check in 400 Euros of deposit was taken for car park charges or any minibar charges. After 8 days checked out the hotel, the refund for the deposit is still not done. My partner has called them 3 days ago. But nothing is done. This is not good enough in their administration job.     Great location, stunning views

    We chose the Myriad because it was close to the airport, but the hotel ended up being so much more! I loved the free health center and spa on the top floor. The waterfront restaurants across the street had a great selection and lively atmosphere. The views of the bridges and city were gorgeous. The staff was very nice and made us a breakfast box to take to the airport in the morning. It felt like we extended our vacation by a day by staying here -- a perfect last night in Portugal!
