An old hotel with very friendly staffs

This is definitely an old hotel and the condition shows that. It needs some major upgrades. Fortunately, all the amenities were working for us. Breakfasts were bare basic and not very appealing. However, the staffs were unbelievably friendly. Another great thing about this hotel is its location, just a few minutes walking distance from the Metro station Marques De Pombal.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is a major construction work just next to the hotel. You suffer from the drilling noise all day literally. The room has no heating so if you travel winter time, be aware. Also lower levels facing the main road is noisy from the traffic early in the morning.

Ridiculous Hotel

This is the most ridiculous hotel I’ve ever been and seen.Comfort - 0!Service - 0!Location - 1!You can not even take shower. Shower head works like in 17th century.You can not even stand because shower curtain goes straight to your legs.There wasn’t shower gel And hand soap. I’m not talking about shampoo and another things. There’s not flag to charge your phone. You need to leave your phone in the entrance. Etc etc

Yes this is an older hotel, but three blocks from metro subway. Unbelievably friendly staff who cant do enough for you. The rooms are large, tub in our room at least, breakfast basic but good coffee. Small elevator, normal Europe. Wifi worked extremely good.would go back in a minute

I think it’s important to remember that you get what you pay for and for a budget like mine, I was very impressed with the standard for what I paid for it. The decor is incredibly 90s but in a way I thoroughly enjoyed, as a kid we mostly went on camping holidays so a hotel like this was a special treat, it felt nostalgic. The location is great, easy to get to central points for tour buses etc and a taxi to the airport is about €20 and can be booked from reception. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfy and the breakfast is what I expected for what I paid. This would be an ideal hotel for someone travelling on a budget who doesn’t plan to spend time in the hotel, it would be good for a trip to see lisbon over a weekend on a budget.
