  Lisbon NIGHTMARE.

  I booked the room for the family trip back in May. One week before the trip, they sent me information about booking the airport transfer to the hotel. On the day of check-in, when we arrived, it turned out that the accommodation had been closed for more than a month. Nobody contacted us to inform us, and we were left stranded on the street. By the way, even if they renovate the facility, the place isn't nice and the building is horrible.

  Okay place to stay. Location was great- steps away from lively Bairro Alto, but really small room. Beware! When booking, check to be sure you are booking a room with a PRIVATE WASHROOM, as there are rooms without them, and thus having only 1 washroom for multiple rooms to share on that floor. Concierge was very nice and helpful. If bringing heavy luggage, there is a set of stairs to climb in order to reach the elevator, making this place inaccessible if needing ramps for walkers, strollers or wheelchairs.

  This hotel is in a fantastic, very central location—perfect for exploring the city on foot. The room was small but very nice, and the large washroom with a shower was a plus. The concierge was helpful, pleasant, and accommodating, which made our stay more comfortable.Be prepared for stairs—there’s a small elevator, but you still have to climb stairs to reach it. There aren’t many amenities, so it’s best suited for travelers who value location and service over extras.

  Unpretentious but superb location - worth a try!

  This hotel gets some very unfair reviews, but it doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't. Weaknesses? It's a little decrepit (inner lift door partly broken, but lift working fine, balcony distinctly decrepit, and not to be trusted), and it's better to eat out for breakfast, because it's limited. It is also in party-land, so noisy in the earlier part of the evening - and because people can easily access the lobby and staircase, don't leave valuables in the room.Strengths? It IS incredibly well-placed for easy access to a lot of Lisbon's best places. The air-con does work, the fridge worked fine, as long as you left one of the key cards in the slot in the room all day. Linen was clean, bathroom facilities were fine, and a decent breakfast is available across the street (turn left, about 100 metres, opposite side of the road). Our 4th floor room looking onto the main road was light and airy, and because we could shut the windows with the aircon, not noisy at all.Just don't judge it against the 5-star offerings that charge considerably more - provided that you go in with your eyes open, this is a hotel that I would stay in again.

  Terrible Experience - Reservation Canceled Last Minute Without Warning!

  I had booked my stay at this hotel months in advance for me and my family, expecting a smooth experience. However, to my utter shock, my reservation was canceled just 30 minutes before our arrival, with no prior warning whatsoever. We were traveling from Italy and arrived in Lisbon around 1:00 AM, only to find out that our booking was canceled at 12:30 AM. This left us stranded in a foreign city, in the middle of the night, with no place to stay during peak season.The only explanation we received was that a staff member made an error in room assignment—an excuse that is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, their so-called "solution" was to offer us a ridiculous 40-euro voucher, which was an insult considering the inconvenience and stress they caused.We were fortunate enough to find another accommodation, but I believe this kind of negligence and lack of professionalism should not go unnoticed. Such behavior is completely unacceptable.
