    Noisy Trains

    If you’re in need of a good nights sleep, book elsewhere. This hotel sits on top of the metro where every 5 minutes a train rumbles through. Too bad since the hotel itself is quite lovely. Nice staff and good breakfast.Central location, but you can’t park in front as it’s on a pedestrian path.

    Beware the rooms affected by the metro noise

    Lovely centrally located hotel.Staff were very friendly and amenable Our only issue,hence 4 stars, we were given room 112 initially this is located above the metro that shakes and rumbles the room every 5 minutes until 1am meaning no sleep.The hotel was built before the metro but it is a blight in those rooms if you want a restful night.We were however changed to 106 without a problem and although we were aware of the rumbling tube it didn’t disturb.We would recommend the hotel just avoid those rooms.

    Elegant hotel close to transportation, shopping and restaurants

    We were treated like royalty from check-in to checkout. The suite was spacious, with a giant round tub for two, a sitting room with TV and all the amenities you could want. There was turn-down service, the breakfast was fresh with a good selection. They even came by our room with pasteis de nata the night before we checked out. The Metro, trams, trolleys and buses are available a half-block away, and you can buy Metro tickets at the front desk. Restaurants are all around within walking distance. The area is lively! Only one drawback: The Metro runs under the hotel so there is noticeable rumbling. It stops during the night and it didn't keep us awake.

    From the minute we checked in until we checked out everything was faultless at this hotel. The reception staff made us welcome as soon as we arrived. They gave us a city map and explained where certain landmarks were. They gave us recommendations for a couple of restaurants and both places we had excellent meals.The room was a very good size and we heard no noise from the nearby metro. The bathroom was very big for a capital city. Huge bath, walk in shower and double sinks, all with very good toiletries . The bed was very comfortable. Every evening we returned from our full day sightseeing we had some lovely local treats in our room. Such a generous gesture.Breakfast was of very good quality and there was a really varied selection. Plenty of fresh fruits, lovely pastries, a good choice of hot and cold dishes and even sparkling wine.All the staff, bar, breakfast, reception and room service were very attentive, friendly and professional.Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city. I look forward to staying with you again.

    Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not satisfactory. The noise levels were very high due to the metro being heard all day long, which seriously affected comfort. The location also felt unsafe at night, making it difficult to feel at ease when returning late. On top of that, the breakfast was very poor, with minimal selection and low-quality food. I would not consider this hotel good value for money.
