Set in Lisbon's city centre, in a pleasant district between Park Edward VII and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the hotel is also close to Marques de Pombal, Av. Liberdade and the El Corte Ingles department store. It is only a 2-minute walk from São Sebastião metro station, which is only a few stops away from the historic city centre (Baixa-Chiado, Restauradores, Rossio and Bairro Alto).

Facility

The hotel has 70 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, had a lovely balcony, and the bed was soft and comfortable. Parking in the garage was easy and convenient. The reception staff were friendly, easy to talk to, especially the gentleman who has been with the hotel for nearly 20 years. He was easy to talk to, professional, and funny. A special thank you to Sunima at breakfast, who took the time to explain the different functions of the coffee machines and helped us with the vegetarian menu options. Her kindness, patience, and attentiveness were greatly appreciated and made our mornings especially pleasant. Overall, we had a great experience and would gladly stay here again.

    Hotel Cancelled Our Room The Day Of Our Arrival!!!

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They cancelled our room the day before our trip through an email with no explanation or help finding another hotel for our family. They won’t answer our emails or calls to explain and we were forced to find a last minute hotel for us and our young child. We booked this room 3 months ago. Felipe França, Diretor-Geral at Hotel Principe Lisboa, responded to this review Dear Mr. Hayes,We regret the inconvenience of the cancellation of your reservation. However, the payment and cancellation policy stipulated that the first night would be charged 4 days prior to your arrival, in this case, on March 30th, last Monday. On that same day, an email was sent informing you that the credit card was invalid and requesting a new one. We sent another email on January 31st, Tuesday. No reply for both emails. On April 1st, an attempt was made to contact you by phone, but it was not answered as well. Without any response from you, your reservation was cancelled that same day, and another email confirming the cancellation was sent. The hotel took great care with your reservation, as it does with all guests. However, even with all the emails and phone call attempt to contact you, no reply was received from your side. Unfortunately without a valid guarantee, the hotel was forced to cancel the reservation in accordance with the payment and cancellation policy, which you accepted when confirming the reservation in our website. Moreover, we do not cancel reservations just because we want to. We made enough efforts to contact you during 4 days before your arrival, but with no replies, we had no alternative.Once again we're sorry for the inconvenience but we did not take this matter lighthearted.Despite this setback, we wish you and your companions a pleasant stay in Lisbon.Best regards,Hotel Principe Lisboa

    The hotel offers a good value for money. The coffee at breakfast was really good. Staff was always nice and approachable. The fact that that it is so close to a metro station makes all movements very easy. I would stay here again.

    Thirty minutes direct on the metro from the airport to Sao Sebastiao . Take the Av. Duque de Avila exit from the metro. The hotel is directly across the street.Friendly helpful reception staff.The room was a nice cool temperature. It is a good size, very clean with a safe and a fridge. The room was to the rear and had a balcony.The bathroom was absolutely spotless. It looked new.Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety.Other reviewers have mentioned the overflying planes. I didn’t hear any from about 23:00 to 07:00 next morning.We will definitely be back.

    Great bicycle-friendly hotel in Lisbon.

    My wife and I were looking for a centrally located hotel that had a place we could assemble our bicycles and park them at night. Hotel Principe Lisboa more than satisfied these requirements. The hotel has a secure parking garage on the ground floor for the bicycles and the hotel is a short walk from Parque Eduardo VII and San Sebastiao Metro Station. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the staff very helpful. We highly recommend Hotel Principe Lisboa.
