    Adequate but not boutique

    Quinta Colina is marketed as a boutique guesthouse hotel with attractive photos of the rooms, breakfast area and the terrace on their website. But the reality is very different. The breakfast area is dark and gloomy and the terrace unwelcoming. The furniture in our bedroom was a bit shabby (the armchair was stained) and the curtains would not close properly at night if the window was open. It was not possible to regulate the air con so it would have been too noisy and cold to have had it on all night with the window closed.It’s all perfectly fine in that our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air con worked well and the breakfast was ok but nothing special. The young staff were all very friendly but as the hotel markets itself as boutique I was expecting a bit extra and the Quinta Colina did not deliver that for me. Judging by the reviews it is a popular hotel but it’s not one that I will be returning to. The hotel is on a steep hill so is not appropriate for guests with mobility issues.

    Fantastic quirky place to stay. Easy walking distance to trams, sights and public transport. Room was immaculate, staff lovely and breakfast a real treat. Highly recommended.     A great hotel close to the city centre with FAB roof terrace

    A great small hotel a short walk into the city centre (roughly 5-10 mins) and very close to Martim Moniz tube station. It made a great base for my trip and my room booking came with a buffet breakfast each morning which had an excellent selection of food. The room was a good size and looked out over the church opposite. There is also a roof top terrace with seating and great views over the city centre.     Strange mesh curtain?

    Hotel was nice, clean and staff all brilliant. Breakfast was included and lovely as not just a standard fry up was different things, can also have dinner here ect but we didnt do this. We was on the ground floor garden room, room 1 to be precise. The room was small but nice and clean. We had a window pretty much in the centre of the room with only a mesh curtain covering? We could see directly outside into the main hall and restaurant area and from outside could see in? We didnt like this at all as people could see us inside the room, we had to put a blanket over the window as we felt uncomfortable. We could also see into other people’s room. This was a bit weird? Our room also felt slightly damp. Location is good, probably 10 minute walk into the centre. Be aware the hotel is on a steep hill or lots of stairs back up. Ubers are easy to get though if needed.     Certainly not 4 star standard. Rather 2+. The room was small with nospace,for 2 suitcases. Good location. Nice reception people. The breakfast was poor with a very limited range of food.
