    Lack of accountability and dishonesty in none working temperature control.

    No ownership of odor by original front desk person, Katie. We checked in and everything was fine. We stayed here 3 weeks ago and everything was fine. Our room was very cold, 61 degrees, and we tried both the floor unit and the wall until with neither working to adjust the temperature. This was around 4pm and when we were going out around 4:30, we asked which unit controlled the template as neither worked for us. She asked us questioned and we let her know what we tried. Katie wanted to come up to our room to check. On the way up there were several statements about not knowing what controlled the template. She said she wished there was a list about what controlled the temp in which room because they had to guess. I thought that was odd at the time. She changed something on the wall unit piece and said that should work but I didn't feel comfortable with that because it was also in the off position. Katie assured us twice that maintenance was coming soon and she would have them fix it. I let her know we didn't want to move after shopping, dinner, and drinks, so to please fix or we could move now. I was assured there was no problem and she would make sure maintenance corrected the problem. She also asked when we returned, to let her know the temperature.We returned at 7:40pm. It was 66 in our room. The phone doesn't work on our end so my husband went downstairs but I also called on my cell phone. Katie had gone home, the new person knew nothing about our issue. Maintenance didn't come and there was no note let for the new person. No phone call to us from Katie that we needed to come back, that maintenance wasn't coming in and that we needed to come now to move rooms. There is more and I'm happy to discuss both our displeasure and the phone call I received from Katie and how she didn't know maintenance wasn't coming. I'm assuming the front desk person connected us. I heard a lot about how I was upset, how I was having a bad day, how it wasn't her responsibility because she didn't know maintenance wasn't coming in. I believe Katie came to the hotel but I wouldn't answer my phone because I'm not moving all my things now. They tried the hotel phone but couldn't hear my husband when he answered. Then she knocked on our door. I'm not sure what my husband talked to her about as I'd gotten in bed. This was uncalled for all the way around. We are t used to this type of dishonesty and lack of accountability with this brand and hope we don't see it again. We were offered $40 and to move rooms at about 8pm. I said No. I had actually said I wasn't moving earlier if we didn't move right then but trusted it would be taken care of. It wasn't and there was no accountability, just excuses.     Awesome experience! Exceptionally clean. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The location is right off of the highway and there are a lot of places to eat and shop. Samantha at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in meeting all our needs and requests.     Our first room was clean but we requested to be moved after a dog continued to bark. We were moved to the end of the hallway. It was a handicap room and may not have been used for a while. The room was large but the carpet was dirty, the sheets smelled, were thin torn, and the mattress was stained. I told the housekeeper that I stripped the entire bed and she asked why and after explaining to her the problem, she was not happy. Her manager explained things to her and assisted her with getting the bed back together. I went out and purchased another blanket prior to asking for everything to be changed to try to remedy the problem. I finally had enough and we checked out a day early. The bathrooms in these rooms are too small. You can barely maneuver and the door just barely skims the toilet. This wasn’t well thought out. The common area was clean but upon walking into the lobby the rug was filthy, the elevator had fingerprints all over it and was smelly every time we used it. The window at the end of the hallway on our floor was full of hand prints from kids and animals. It was dirty the entire stay and seemed as if it was dirty for a long time. This isn’t the Hilton way and if you want people to continue to stay you must consistently do better.     Good breakfast but not clean

    The breakfast was probably the best breakfasts of all the Hilton brands I have stayed at but the place was not the cleanest. We were there Friday- Monday. The room was never cleaned, even though they post the room will be cleaned every other day. Someone spilled soda on Sunday afternoon, walked from the pool, to the lobby and up to the 2nd floor where our room was. When we left Monday around 10am, the floor was still sticky and full of footprints. They did post a wet floor sign but the floor was never mopped up. The refrigerator didn't keep anything cold.     Wow, called to check on rates for a two night stay for four people and said I was checking on rates i got hung up on:-(. I definitely won’t be booking a stay here now that’s for sure. A very rude way to treat somebody who’s looking to stay at the hotel.
