  Great hostel, okay area - solo female traveler

  Sant Jordi was a great place to stay! I stayed for one night as a solo female and I felt very safe in the all-female 10 bunk room. You can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in which is super useful. I recommend booking with the included breakfast! The hostel is a bit far from the main areas of Lisbon but there are public transportation options nearby. The area itself is not somewhere I would happily walk around in alone at night, but as long as you are smart about it and know your surroundings it felt safe enough to get to where I needed to go. This was my first hostel experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had no issue with noise level and everything felt clean.

  Took all my things out of my room and put in garbage bags because staff told me I was booked for that night and then didn't. About half of the things were someone elses!?? They give you a coupon for a free shot from the bar then refuse a whiskey shot, had to be this horrible, chemical tasting stuff.

  All sounds are amplified and with loud talking staff at reception in a foyer that echoes equalsno sleep. Otherwise excellent.So if you don't need to sleep, this is the place for you.   Excellent value in magnificent old hostel

  Stayed for 2 nights in the double en suite room at the top of the hostel. Beautiful old building with original features. Perfectly clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Cooking facilities available though we didn’t use them. Large shady garden to relax in and bar on site. Good location about 20 minute walk from city centre. Great value for money.   This is one of the best hostels I have visited. When you enter the building, you will be amazed about the beauty of it. The rooms are simple, but good and clean. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The bar is fantastic and gorgeous and they have great drinks. The vibe is very relaxed and you will feel welcome. The staff is very friendly, helpful and fun. Especially Luiza is very nice to talk to! The location is a bit further away from tourist locations, but not too far and I liked the neighborhood. This is a great hostel to stay in Lisbon.
