  We enjoyed our stay here. The steep cobbled street and tramline directly outside the entrance to the building made it difficult to get in and out of with a wheelchair, but once inside, there was a lift and the apartment was spacious and well air-conditioned. Laura was at the reception to show us to the apartment when we arrived, and gave us a warm welcome. Although the apartment was situated in a busy part of town, it was quite quiet at night. The apartment was clean and well maintained. We appreciated the coffee machine!

  Modern, comfortable, and well located

  This boutique hotel is situated partway up the Sao Jorge hill, just behind the Alfama district, which is considered to be the oldest neighbourhood in Lisbon. The location is ideal for walking to many historic sites and centres in Lisbon, including the traditionally Moorish Alfama (which, unlike much of Lisbon, was not destroyed by the 1755 earthquake), the impressive Castelo de Sao Jorge at the top of the hill, and the elegant Baixa district (which was impressively rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake). The narrow, medieval street out front runs along the line of the well-known Number 28 tram sightseeing line. There is a large bus station nearby at the bottom of the hill, however, taxis and Ubers in Lisbon are plentiful and inexpensive, so we did not make use of any of the buses.The hotel itself is immaculately maintained, modern, and comfortable. Like many of Europe's ancient cities, space is at a premium so the rooms are not especially large, but they are intelligently designed for efficient use of space. We appreciated the comfortable beds and efficient climate control.The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful: friendly, efficient, communicative, and very helpful. We could not have been more pleased with the service.The only challenge with this hotel was that, because it is located along the narrow streets of the medieval town, there is no on-site parking. Parking in Lisbon (especially in the Alfama area) is very difficult and crowded. You may be lucky enough to find overnight parking up the hill, along the Largo Portas do Sol, which boasts one of the most beautiful promenades and pracas in Portugal. We decided to return the rental car early and make do with taxis and Ubers, which again are quite useful in Lisbon.Based on location, comfort, and the extremely helpful staff, this hotel is an ideal base for a historical tour of Lisbon. We highly recommend it.

  Beautiful Duplex In Heart of Old Lisbon!

  Our hosts were Mayane, Laura,and Margarita. They set the bar for excellence in customer service. They sure welcomed us and made us feel at home. Mayane was kind enough to research all the gluten free restaurants in Lisbon as my daughter has Celiac’s. We so appreciated this!! She also made sure a taxi showed up at 7 am to drive us back to the airport when we were leaving.Great central location walking distance to Martin Moniz metro station. Near all amenities: grocery stores, souvenir shops, a variety of nice restaurants to fit all budgets. The duplex has a kitchenette on first floor as well as a dining room and living room with a pullout queen bed. Very comfy. The upstairs has two twin beds, a huge window with a nice solarium window as well. Provides lots of light. Two bathrooms…one downstairs and one upstairs. The downstairs one includes a tub with jets. My kids loved it! The appartement also contains a safe, an alarm system, ironing board, washer and dryer, microwave, fridge, and stove.We had a wonderfully memorable stay which we will talk about for years to come. I will not hesitate to return to this hotel when I am in Lisbon.

  Great apartment and fantastic staff!

  We are a family of five, including young children. The staff were very friendly and professional, even though we had some special requests. The apartment itself was very well appointed and maintained. WiFi was very strong. I recommend it!

  We had 5 balconies overlooking a lively cobblestone street. The staff were excellent, the rooms were spacious and clean. The location was ideal, right in the middle of the old town. I highly recommend this place.
