This charming, family-friendly hotel is located within the walls of the Castle of São Jorge, in the heart of the Lisbon historic centre. Guests will find pubs, the bus and underground stations, the Casa dos Bicos historical house within walking distance. Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower are located roughly 5 km from the hotel and the National Museum of Ancient Art is located roughly 3 km away. Lisbon Portela Airport is approximately 9 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 2-storey building with a lift and 14 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     Lovely hotel with friendly staff, help yourself to the refreshments which were available all day in the lounge area. The hotel is situated right next to the castle with easy access to trams and buses. Well worth a visit, be aware that Peacocks roam the area and can be very vocal, they did not spoil our stay

    One of Lisbon’s best kept secrets. Solar do Castelo blends history and ambience beautifully. The staff (and peacocks) are always welcoming. Solar is worth the trip from anywhere.     Fabulous hotel in great location

    This is a gem of a boutique hotel situated right next to Castelo de Sao Jorge. There are Peacocks in the garden of this beautiful building. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.We spent a fabulous 4 days here and it’s an excellent base to discover Lisbon.This area of Lisbon is quite a climb from the centre so may not be suitable for all.

    A very nice Hotel on a unique location on the hill next to the famous Castle Castelo de Sao Jorge. Everything is in walking distance. Me and my son love this boutique hotel with there service good breakfast and the after 4 table with nice caked and good prosecco etc....Nice people behind the reception and on the floor always friendly and helpfull.     What an absolutely charming boutique hotel! Located adjacent to the castle, this little gem is welcoming, very clean, and guest focused. The super sweet lady at the front desk helped me with taxis and general information about the location, including maps. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the deep tub a treat! The breakfast in the common area was plentiful - hot items were hot, cold items cold, and the pastries fresh. There are resident peacocks who make their presence known and are great fun to watch. One word of caution - this area is only accessible by official taxi.
