  Friendly staff but room was in bad condition and breakfast was not good

  Stayed for one night on July 21, 2025. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the room was in very bad condition. Carpet was stained. Air conditioning did not work well. Bathroom tile was cracked, towel rack was rusty, and when we pulled down the bathroom shade it was very dirty. Walls were scratched in multiple locations. When we went to sleep, we realized the bed had only a bottom sheet and a top sheet (no duvet or blanket). There was a duvet without out a cover in the closet but I didn't want to use it because I didn't see how it could be clean if multiple guests use it without a cover. The shower was small and had a thin curtain which touched me when I showered (and I am fairly small) instead of a glass enclosure. There was no shelf to put your soap and shampoo. The breakfast buffet did not seem fresh. On the buffet were 5 individual containers of yogurt, three that were expiring on July 22nd and two that were expiring on July 25th. There were two silver urns, one labeled "hot milk" and one labeled "cold milk." Both had room temperature milk that tasted odd. Eggs had a strange taste. I do not recommend this hotel.

  This hotel was in the middle, the absolute middle, of Carnival. What fun! Raquel helped us from checking in, recommendations of where to go and eat, where to get a cheap Carnival costume, and what to expect with the mass of people at the front door. Oh, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the room excellent.

  The hotel is nice enough but don’t expect too much. Our room (205) was spacious and had a lovely terrace with some very poor choice of furniture making the terrace rather an uninviting area. Our room was not cleaned properly - there were bits and spots on the carpet, and plenty of hair from previous guests in the bathroom that one could start making up a wig. The condition of maintenance of the room was lacking too and no thought seems to have been put into how to make the stay more practical ( no USB ports, no sockets near the bed to charge mobile phones, etc) The hotel has potential but it feels like the management ‘just doesn’t care’ that much. Fire doors were kept open on the first floor. Basic breakfast in terms of choice but a real positive: an espresso machine which made proper coffee. Sound insulation in the room was pretty poor too - you just have to hope for quiet neighbours.

  Nice hotel very well located in a beautiful place. Our bedroom was big and comfortable, the view was nice, the crew were professional and kind. The breakfast wasn’t big but very tasty and enough for us, and it’s local products ( jam, pastries etc). We really appreciate this hotel and we highly recommend it. They

  Location. This is the only reason anyone chooses this hotel, but also because there are no options in the city centre. Used by groups going to weddings, very noisy going out and coming in. Breakfast 'decor' and availability of food choices was imagined by an idiot. You have to know how to work traditional coffee machines and the distribution and availability of food is confusing. The worst are housekeeping and reception departments. Although we asked for no room cleaning for a 4-night stay, we rarely saw any worker cleaning rooms and when they were seen, they were heard first, as they are very noisy. Our room had bits of wall falling apart and the fridge was not working. We were not offered to change rooms. The receptionist at check-in seemed very nice, I trusted him and asked to send the invoice to my email, I payed the bill, to discover afterwards I was billed twice for breakfast. He must be new in the hotel, and without enough training to use the system, as he disregarded my already-booked room and breakfast. When I noticed the bill was debited twice for breakfast I called the hotel (this was 19 or 20th, September). After many calls, I was credited the amount on October 8th. Another male receptionist was very rude (on the weekend), he must not work on the front office, there is work in backoffice to do. Overall, I will avoid this hotel like plague , if I have to visit my friends in Torres Vedras again, I will stay elsewhere (no idea where)...
