    Lovely apartment with everything you need at hand. Very clean and quiet. A little jewel just outside of the busy town area. It’s only a 5 min walk to the main start of the old town. Just be aware that reception isn’t open 24/7! However, checking in after 18:30 there is a phone number to check in. Louis on reception was excellent, nothing was too much bother for him. A real credit to the hotel.

    This is not a luxury hotel. It is Suites or small apartments for rent. It is an excellent location prior or post taking a cruise, as it's just up the hill from the cruise terminal in the heart of the tourist district. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was immaculately clean. Everything's well maintained. (Cable TV: Americans will find that they can watch the TV fairly well in Portugal, because much of the content is in English with subtitles In Portuguese, as opposed to in Spain, where everything's dubbed into Spanish. )Comes with a coffee pot, a teapot, Some coffee and tea, Dishes and silverware, An oven, stove top Iron and ironing board. I upgraded this to 5 stars when I found the dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer and full sized refrigerator and freezer! Everything you need to be comfortable for an extended stay. Plenty of room. This is a great choice for the money. We stayed in 4D, Which was a full apartment with the bedroom, Separate bath, Living area, Fold-out couch, dining room. It's the size of a normal one-bedroom apartment.

    We were worried about our stay. There has been lots of reviews complaining about robberies, but, We didn't come across anything negative. Although we kept shutters closed, nothing happened. Additionally, We thought that the hotel could have provided a 24/7 security guard/night receptionist etc. Pool could have been improved. Our apartment was beautiful, with views out onto the sea & over Alfama. Apartment came with safe, amazing A/C & overall a great, nice clean room. Amazing hotel...

    🚨 WARNING: THIEVES IN THIS HOTEL 🚨Do NOT book a room here. Multiple tourists were robbed inside this hotel. Police don’t help, and the hotel refuses to take responsibility or investigate.This is not an isolated case — it happened to many guests.❌ Don’t do it. If you value your safety and belongings, stay away!

    This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The floors were filthy, the bed sheets were untidy and even ripped — completely unacceptable for any hotel.The biggest disaster was the second bed. We booked for 3 adults and a child, and the extra bed (outside the bedroom) was broken, disgusting, full of marks and dirt. It was unusable. For a family booking, this is a total scam.I complained, and all they did was change the sheets and towels. Nothing was done about the broken bed, and nobody even bothered to call back or follow up. The lack of care and responsibility.This place pretends to be high standard, but in reality, it’s dirty, poorly maintained, and customer service is nonexistent. Save your money and avoid this hotel at all costs.
