    Not recommended for elderly people or people with young children.

    Nice hotel, but reception is about 25 steps upstairs. See picture. Plus there is a very small elevator that takes 1 person per time till the 4 th floor. We were on the 5th floor hence my title.Staff very friendly, who will bring up your luggage to the room from the ground floor. They spoke English.Roof top restaurant is very nice with great views. Close to the central square and public transport, with lots of restaurants around.Rooms are modern. Good Wifi.Offer hot and cold breakfast, with GF bread.Recommended for people under 50 as there are stairs to climb.

    I stayed here with my adult son for 5 nights. The location is great in the middle of the city. A short walk to different parts of the city. The hotel tries to achieve a vintage/boutique style but the whole thing is more of a flea market style mosh marsh. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel provided toiletries and body lotion. The decor was a bit ascetic, fitting the theme. There was only a drawer for clothes and a bar in the hallway. There is coffee, tea and water in the room. There is no ironing facilities in the room. The reception staff helped if asked, but were not active. The roof terrace was a nice addition, but it closed at 10:30 PM. Breakfast was ok and we ate it because it was included in the room price. Be prepared to walk up old stairs, the hotel is not accessible. The side streets were otherwise quiet, but the musicians playing in the nearby square only finish at 11-12 PM (be prepared for this). The soundproofing between the rooms is in keeping with an old house.

    Good :- hotel is at the heart of Lisbon. A lot of interesting places, restaurants and even Christmas markets are within walking distance.- room is nicely decorated with kitchen amenities + espresso machine.- water pressure is strong in the bathroom.- breakfast at rooftop is acceptable and good.Not Good :- no proper lift. There is only one small lift which can only accommodate one luggage + one person at a time from level 1 to level 4 only.- have to press and hold button for lift to move. And lift move at snail pace.- to many stairs and corners ( not proper for guests with big luggages - see pic)- internet connection is weak especially after heavy rain ( as told by front office)

    Great location in Lisbon, hotel is quaint and arty, room was ok nothing great as our TV had no sound , it was clean enough , rooftop bar is OK with nice view of the Castle at night . My evening meal was really nice as I had the Salmon , my wife’s meal was Spaghetti Carbonara which looked great but was lukewarm , both meals served on cold plates sadly. We complained to both waiters on duty but just got a sorry about that, onto breakfast , the usual fare was on offer but again served on cold plates and was of ok quality , drinks very expensive ,ie cocktails €13.50 Prosecco €10.00 a glassWhite wine €10.00 a glassBottles of wine Cheapest €28. Dearest a Pinot Grigio €60. All in all it was ok but I bet we can find better in this area , also we are both pensioners and the 5 flights of steep stairs to our room and rooftop bar we won’t miss.
