  Wonderful stay and host!

  We had a fantastic stay at Color Hostel. Alex was incredibly helpful! The apartment was in a very lively area. There was both pulse, spirit and mood. The room was part of a large, old and very beautiful apartment. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen was large and contained everything you needed to prepare your food. The toilets were clean of very fine. Great recommendation. We will definitely be back. Already missing Lisbon and the lively street. Hilsner from Denmark.   I am not a person to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately felt the need to do so in this hostel due to my experience. I was not satisfied with the stay and I find it important to share what happened to alert other guests.After leaving my review, I was contacted by the hostel manager via WhatsApp, who offered me the amount corresponding to two days in exchange for me deleting the comment. I want to make it clear that I did not make this assessment for money, nor accepted the offer, because I believe the assessments should reflect real experiences.I contacted Booking to report the situation, but I was informed that because the conversation occurred outside the application, it would not be possible to proceed with a formal complaint.I leave this warning for future guests: be careful and careful.   What to say... deplorable experience. Digicode down, very noisy, dirty and intimidating street. The taxi told us to change hotels before we even got there. Police are up the street filtering...   AWFUL!I do not recommend it at all, this hotel this location is an extremely ugly street, it looks very dangerous, and there is no sign that indicates what the hotel is, I had a Reservation and when I went to check in, I found myself on that extremely dangerous street, with people GETTING HIGH in the sights of everyone, it is located near the very popular square but it feels very unsafe, to the degree that I preferred to lose my money as they did not let you cancel saying that the hotel was safe and that I could stay there without problems, as we traveled 2 women decided to look for another place to stay for fear of being there, this in a section called “little india” I do not recommend it at all!   The disgust!

  Already on the way to the structure you realize that it is not what you expected.But it's nothing compared to what your eyes will soon see.4 floors of stairs without elevator, nauseating smell all over the stairs. We check in a little perplexed, we arrive in the room and we realize that it is totally different from what was shown on booking "deluxe room". Smells like sewer, smells like a cave,infiltrations, dust, indecent cleaning and lots of dust. Real crap. We grabbed our bags and left! You can't rent something like that. The structure definitely reported our missed check-in to booking but this too is a lie as you can see from the photos. It's a shame I wasted my money like that.
