Location

    Slow check in and check out and very poor hospitality by staff. Also there were none vegan options in the breakfast buffet - fish or chicken or mayo or something in everything.

    The hotel is modern and clean. Rooms are also modern but basic. No water or coffee in room. If you stay on the street side of the hotel the noise is awful but coupled with the constant banging and clanking in the hotel there is very little ability to sleep. Breakfast is not great - stick to yoghurts, fruit and croissants!

    The hotel is in a prime location right by the beach and close to local services. However, it's worth noting that the Caparica area itself is quite small and doesn't offer much to see unless you are a surfer looking to ride the constant waves. Visiting outside the main tourist season, we found the area to be very quiet, windy, and quite chilly.The hotel’s common areas and lobby are modern and welcoming. While the rooms were clean, they felt a bit dated. The bed was comfortable and having a fridge in the room was a plus. On the downside, the bathroom showed signs of wear with water-related spots on the floor, and the shower temperature was difficult to adjust. We also realized on our last day that a small gap in the balcony glass was causing a whistling wind sound and keeping the room cold.On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of options, and everything ran smoothly without crowding, even with many guests. Also, during the off-season, parking right in front of the hotel was very reasonably priced at just over one euro per day.

    This was my second time here at Tryp Caparica and it's been amazing! Excellent, clean and spacious room with amazing views to the beach. The staff is really lovely and attentive as always. The breakfast is quite good as well. I totally recommend!

    I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean. The staff were very helpful in particular the receptionist Ana The buffet breakfast and evening meal were top class.
