  Unexpectedly disappointing

  Upon Prime Residence, LisbonThe staff were warm and approachable, and breakfast was a pleasant enough start to the day — so credit where it’s due. Unfortunately, several recurring issues made it difficult to fully enjoy the stay.The most frustrating was the air conditioning. Every day it was switched off — not by me — and could not be controlled from the room. In Lisbon’s heat, this meant a daily trip to reception to request something that should simply be a given. For a self-described residence-style property, removing guest autonomy over basic room temperature is a significant oversight.Sound insulation was genuinely poor for a 4-star hotel. Neighbouring guests’ conversations, television, and alarm clocks were all clearly audible — not occasionally, but consistently. Rest was affected.The shower compounded things further — square knobs that prioritise aesthetics over usability, making temperature and pressure adjustment unnecessarily fiddly, with a long wait for warm water.On the amenities side: no slippers, no conditioner, no iron. Small things individually, but collectively they fall short of what a 4-star guest reasonably expects.The location and staff goodwill are genuine positives. But comfort, noise control, and room functionality are the whole point of a hotel stay — and on those, Upon Prime fell short. Your comments regarding the air conditioning are particularly important to us. We would like to clarify that the AC system is designed to turn off automatically when the key card is removed from the apartment wall, as part of our energy-saving measures. However, guests do have full autonomy to control the temperature, as each apartment is equipped with an individual AC control panel. We regret any inconvenience or misunderstanding this may have caused.We also sincerely regret the issues related to sound insulation, as we fully understand how this can impact rest and overall comfort. Your feedback will be carefully reviewed as we continue to assess possible improvements in this area.Regarding the shower design and water temperature, we appreciate your observations and will take them into consideration. Concerning amenities, we would like to mention that slippers are placed inside the wardrobe. However, should you need any assistance in locating or obtaining them, our team is available 24 hours a day to assist.   Not what I expected…

  When we first arrived, the young lady who checked us in was very good pleasant and helpful. We had a 1 bedroom with a view of Benfica Stadium which I would be the highlight of our stay. From the reviews, I thought this was going to be one of those gems given the ratings and the price. Instead, we found it to be a very average accommodation that seemed to do the absolute minimum for its guests. PROS-The balcony view of the stadium was nice-Apartment was spacious-Low price given the size of the apt-2 TVs with a decent selection of channels-Residential area with little traffic and noiseCONS-Almost nothing included that you would need in the kitchen. No paper towels, no basic condiments, or trash bag. Only a sponge and dish soap. -WiFi was unusable in our room-Poorly soundproofed, we could hear everyone in adjacent rooms talking, walking and moving furniture. -Room service food came uncovered and cold and the person who delivered it had an attitude. -We were never acknowledged by desk attendants while coming and going. I honestly don’t know how this place is rated at 4* property given the lack of attention to what is provided to guests in their rooms and the inattentiveness by the staff. That said, I think with a few basic improvements in the service, this could be a solid property.   If you a travelling with a baby this hotel is a must!!!!

  We came to Lisbon with our 9 month old baby and the hotel were so accommodating to her. They provided us with a free crib, which was made up every day, a highchair, a bath seat. If you are travelling to Lisbon with a little one this is the place to go. The breakfast was great, it was enough for us to start our day everyday, the staff were so friendly. The hotel provided us with a blanket to take out when we forgot to bring one for our daughter. They could not accommodate enough. The room was cleaned everyday and was immaculate. Great sized apartment with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. We could not recommend this hotel enough. Ubers are super cheap to get where you need to go and they arrive within a couple or minutes. We have had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back!   Perfect stay

  Perfect stay for my husbands birthday. We mainly stayed here to be close to the football but the hotel was amazing. Staff were great food fantastic and despite only mentioning his birthday in passing they brought out a cake and sang to him at breakfast! Such a lovely gesture!   Really good residences hotel

  First visit to this hotel which is opposite the Benfica stadium. Really friendly staff and good rooms. The restaurant in house is good too. Conversely if visiting the city as a non football tourist it’s a little way out.
