  Vila Galé Opera hosted our family event. We chose the buffet instead of a menu and it was an excellent choice. The variety did not disappoint nor did the quality of the ingredients. The staff was also attentive and always polite. We would definitely recommend this venue!   The maid stole money from my wallet and jbl headphones. (8th april 2026.)According to the reading of the lock, it was seen that no one but me and her had entered the room that day.And she didn't want to admit that she stole and nothing was returned to me.   Not worth the money and Do not book if you’re disabled

  We stayed at this hotel because it was recommended due to its proximity to the convention centre and we were in Lisbon for a conference. We requested a wheelchair accessible room because my husband is disabled. He doesn’t use a wheelchair but he uses a walker. He has a muscle wasting disease so is very weak on his feet. The bathroom has an open shower with a partial glass wall so the bathroom gets soaked when you shower. It is all tile so it becomes treacherously slippery. There are no grab bars and when my husband grabbed the glass partition to steady himself, it moved! It’s not fixed in place. There is very poor light in the room, no Kleenex tissues supplied, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, trains go by frequently and are right next to the hotel. Our room got made up so late some days that we just asked for clean towels and told them not to bother. The ventilation ac/heating unit was working very poorly and the bathroom fan wasn’t working at all and so the room became extremely damp and humid. Despite our reporting the ventilation issues and them determining the bathroom fan was indeed not working, nothing was done. Because the ac/heating unit was technically “working”, they didn’t even care about that. So we spent a week in a dangerous (for my hubby), damp, noisy, uncomfortably room which was not inexpensive. Skip this place. You can do way better for the money. 2 stars given because the hotel is clean and the breakfast buffet was good. However, we believe it is important to clarify a few points so that the information provided is accurate and balanced.The room allocated was an accessible room, prepared in accordance with current legal and technical standards. The bathrooms in these rooms feature a walk-in shower at floor level, designed specifically to facilitate mobility, and the materials used comply with required safety and stability standards. The glass partition is intentionally movable (hinged by design), which does not mean it is loose or unsafe. Regarding grab bars, these are installed in accessible rooms; should any have been found to be non-compliant, we would have appreciated being informed immediately so that our technical team could assess the situation.With regard to lighting and mattress comfort, these are subjective assessments, which we naturally respect, although they comply with the hotel’s standards and specifications, the same across all rooms of this category.As for external noise, the hotel is located in an urban area next to a railway line that has existed for many years. This information is public and visible, and the rooms are equipped with appropriate insulation designed to minimize noise within the normal parameters of the area.Regarding room cleaning, housekeeping schedules may vary depending on occupancy levels; however, the provision of fresh towels and essentials is always guaranteed upon request, as was indeed the case during your stay.Concerning ventilation, following a technical inspection, the systems were confirmed to be operational. While a system may be technically functional, it may not always meet an individual’s subjective expectations of performance, but this does not mean that the situation was ignored or dismissed by the hotel.We regret that, despite the assistance provided, your overall perception of the stay was negative. Nevertheless, we must respectfully disagree with the suggestion that the hotel is unsafe or negligent, as we fully comply with all applicable legal, safety, and accessibility regulations.We appreciate your feedback, which will be taken into consideration, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.Kind regards,Management

  Awfully noisy . Close to railway

  Awfully noisy (close to railway), in addition I had to pay 20eur for early check in at 12am, despite the room was ready.
