    Vip Salandra Executive hotel

    Not a 4 star but European star system is different to UK. However it was adequate- on the positives.....It's near Salandra metro which is the Airport line so super easy to get to - only 20 mins from airport So really handy getting around Rooms very clean and well presented , staff very nice.Check out noonBreakfast was very reasonable and served to 11amNegatives .....It's is a bit away from the main action, probaly a 30/40min walk but u can jump on metro and navigate down to it easy.No kettle. There was only a coffee machine ,2 pods supplied 2 tiny coffee cups so we had to buy some normal size cups to have tea and work with the coffee machine.Window was so difficult to open/closeToliet glass door wouldn't close Nosiey - in the mornings from all the road trafficAnd heard couple next door at it two nights in a row - thankfully they must have checked out the next day !!!!

    A smart little hotel. The location was ideal; in between two shopping Arcades/Foodcourts. Walking distance from the Saldanha Metro and the Wonderland Lisboa. to he room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was amazing... very helpful and charming. The room was comfortable and spacious. The only negative was we were not allowed to have a kettle....we had to collect hot water in a container from the foyer everytime we thought of having tea in our room.

    A functional hotel. No glam here. Going on a budget. Simple function room. Comfortable bed. Towels a little on the rough side. No slippers and toothbrush and paste on request. Bathroom not the latest. Did not go for breakfast so no comment. A small mall opposite the hotel. Area is safe.     This is a very basic hotel, definitely not a 4 star hotel. The positives: large room and washroom, with a tub and a separate shower, 3 large windows that open, clean, quiet, comfortable bed, the location is great. The negatives: some areas are showing wear and tear, the a/c doesn't cool well, there aren't enough electrical outlets, the lobby has a strong fragrance, there is no iron, no plug for the bathtub, the shampoo holder fell off the wall, some of the staff aren't very friendly. My husband could hardly breathe with the heavy fragrances and when we mentioned it to the desk, they could care less.

    Not a Four Star and Boutique Hotel; Overrated

    Stayed at this hotel for several nights in March as a surprise for my wife who hand never been to Portugal before. The reviews were influential as was the descriptio9n byb the hotel as being ba 4 star boutique hotel after much upgrades. Breakfast was particularly referred to nby guests.As a hotel inspector, I travel a lot and stay in 4 star hotels. The room was spacious, clean and a bath and shower with lots of hot water. However, the room was ill designed vand NOT a single available plug to charge my mobile or use my laptop. That should today have qualified as a 4 star status. mI had to get down on my knees to unplug the TV to use a plug.As for breakfast, in the basement with no windows, decidedly 3 star at best with limitations. Nothing to celebrate Portugal except for custard tarts. The breakfast was very basic, limited and not fresh indeed with most items prepared from frozen or from tins; eggs not included here.Reception Staff however were very, very helpful in my requests but reception area is not in my opinion of a typical boutique standard
