    A Peaceful Gem Near Ponta do Sol

    Our three-night stay was definitely a highlight of our time in Madeira. We particularly enjoyed our room, which featured a private balcony overlooking the lush banana plantations stretching down toward the sea. The uphill location provides a peaceful atmosphere and truly impressive coastal views. Both the breakfast and the evening meals at the restaurant were of excellent quality, highlighting fresh, local ingredients. It is a wonderful choice for anyone seeking a quiet and scenic retreat on the island.

    Seemingly like everyone else who stays here, we loved Zino's Palace. It's such a friendly and inviting boutique hotel, where nothing seems to be too much trouble. The staff are so warm and welcoming. As other's note, it's at the top of a very steep side street so a little tucked away but there is ample parking, a very good restaurant (that doubles as the bar) and excellent service from everyone, so why leave of an evening? Suites, with their balconies and sea views are a worthy upgrade but it's a treat regardless.

    Beautiful Villa in Porto do Sol!

    Our few days spent here were wonderful. We arrived to a cheerful reception from Graciella. She made us feel at home immediately showing us the property and our room. The estate is very private atop a hill. The view is spectacular from the main terrace and from our balcony. The pool is perfect size for the 5 rooms with ample chairs and other sitting areas. The on site restaurant has a variety of entrees that we dined 2 evenings and a very nice breakfast. Claudio was exceptional ensuring we had everything we needed during our dinners and sitting by the pool. Anna also provided us with travel tips! We appreciated Nicole’s help who printed several emails as we had some business to attend to back home. She was a lifesaver. This is a special place I would recommend and visit again.

    A real gem of a place with the most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered - nothing was too much trouble. Great rooms, lovely breakfast, peaceful location and a warm welcome. What more do you want from a place for a relaxing stay. And the staff make the place.
