  Stayed at one of the top floors with the BBQ and terrace. The BBQ came in very handy and being able to cook in the apartment saved us a lot of money. It was very clean apart from some sand on the floor of one of the rooms. It was spacious enough were we to host a small family dinner. Sadly most of the facilities were closed, but we were really there for the beach, which was only a minute by car! Would have given it 5 stars but the sofa-bed was awful as a sofa and even worse as a bed!

  We where last year for a small break and we came back to same place and the service was good as always clean friendly good location will be back next year again enjoy the outside pool and near to the beach

  First, Susana who runs the office is absolutely lovely. I would like to just hang out with her regularly. As to the apartments, they are functional and basic but clean and were well located for us. We did find the "master" bed to be very small for two people, especially on warm nights. The mattress was as hard as cement and the pillows were very thin and lumpy. Susana kindly gave us extra ones that helped get a bit more comfortable, but we did not sleep well there. The pull out couch in the living room was surprisingly more comfortable, however, it took up a lot of space making the room feel over crowded with furniture. It was nice to have a little terrace though and the kitchen and bedroom were roomy. The kitchen however was challenging to work in. There is no coffee maker or tea kettle and only enough plates and very small glasses and cups for one meal. What I mean is that you have to wash everything after each meal to have a glass or cup for anything else that day so the dishwasher seems like a waste. It would be very nice to have more plates, dishes, and especially glasses in the units. It was nice to have the fridge, stove, microwave and washing machine (for clothes). The granite counter tops in the kitchen gave a sense of quality as did the limestone counter in the bathroom, however the furniture seems very old and tv seems ancient. (There are no inputs on it so we did not wind up using it much.) There are also no pool towels available but perhaps you could ask Susana for extra towels. The beach is a short walk away as are a few nice restaurants. True the shopping center is fairly abandoned, but there is a good-enough small grocery store with a nice staff and a store for just about everything non-edible. I am not sure that we would return as we found other places with nicer amenities for just a small increase in price. It was fine, but not a place we looked forward to returning to each day. Note, the island is wonderful and the people absolutely lovely. The cost for food or transportation is not very expensive, but car rentals and lodging seemed more expensive than one would imagine. Maybe we just had slightly higher expectations for the price compared to everything else.

  The lady who runs it, Susana Oliveira, is the loveliest person ever! I was ill & she was the kindest, most accommodating person. The apartments are large, clean & have everything you need. There is a nice pool & a few shops nearby for supplies. Spare bed in living room is sofa-style & not comfortable, but that's my only critisism really.Would def. recommend.
