  Currently staying at canico bay apartments 😃 fabulous value for money 💰 fully equipped kitchen with enough cutlery and cooking equipment i haven't needed to eat out not even once .The apartments and gardens are kept beautifully clean and tidy by the extremely helpful and friendly cleaning lady and the apartments owner Richardo. On arrival I was greeted by Richardo who is super friendly and helpful with information to make your stay a pleasant one .These apartments are absolutely huge i could play football ⚽️ in here the beds 🛌 are very comfortable ive slept well 😴 all week .The views on your balcony are straight onto the seafront really great .I can't really find anything bad to say for the price per week it's a bargain the carpets are now a little worn and could be replaced soon and do remember your not paying for 5* so don't expect that i read some of the reviews on here and if I didn't know what people were like it would have put me off which would of been a shame 😉 will I return absolutely for certain next year aswell few times hopefully this is written by a sensible person that actually has a diamond 💎 membership with RIU hotels so im no stranger to travel. Book it's great value for money don't expect the Ritz but you will be comfortable with everything you need. If you're arrival is late after 4pm the telephone ☎️ number is located on the reception office door add the number to your WhatsApp and Richardo will be available to give instructions on how to gain access to your apartment.

  The apartment was huge, clean and well equipped. The decor was a little dated but it was so clean and had everything you needed. The lady who managed the apartments was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely time, fantastic location with bars and restaurants all within a short walk. Would highly recommend to all. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  The accommodation as such has a good price/performance ratio. However, at the moment (October/November 2021) there is a large construction site right next to it with massive noise and dust caused by demolition work. No wonder that many guests have left the accommodation in a hurry. We also wanted to reduce our stay from 17 to 10 nights when the noise became unbearable. Although booking.com produced a new statement, the manager only refunded 60% of the price already paid in cash for the cancelled 7 nights, citing allegedly non-refundable commission. A tremendously annoying experience when a move is necessary during the holiday and the costs for this have to be borne additionally by the guest.

  Okay appartment, worn out furniture

  The (junior suite nr 8) apartment is on the outside well maintained, freshly painted but on the inside aan unpleasant surprise. All furniture is approx. 20 years old, outdated, worn out and should we replaced years ago. Carpets show the lining. We found the blankets in the bedroom really smelly and probably not been washed for years.Bathroom: Spartan with Rusty mirrors.In the stained and simple kitchen we found lively companions of ants and other bugs.The balcony table was stained and had holes and cracks.Worst were the smelly and stained chairs and couch. They tried to hide the totally worn out couch from sight by using a grand foulard, but was still unpleasant to sit in because of the metal rods peaking through.Also cleaning was below expectations.All and all, we loved the location, but the apartment was far from acceptable. We paid €80 per night and found it definitely not value for money.

  For a budget price this serves well as a base to the majority of places you’d wish to visit. The facilities are clean and tidy though the mattress is quite thin. Even so I had no trouble getting to sleep.The pool is for dipping not swimming as it’s quite small. Located close the a Spar and café/restaurants with three car and bike hire on the doorstep. There is even a tourist travel shop to book excursions. Close to the sea but no beach other than a stoney one you can get better value unless you want to spend double. The lady who manages the whole site does everything, even the cleaning who’s very helpful with a pleasant manner.
