Location

This exclusive beach hotel is situated in a peaceful location although close to the centre, in roughly 12,000-m² award-winning park grounds. The hotel lies on a hill in the hotel resort area of Funchal. Links to the public transport system are only 50 m from the hotel and the nearest bus stop is 100 m away. A nightclub lies only around 200 m from the hotel and the wonderful turquoise blue sea is located approximately 500 m away. The immediate vicinity (800 m) offers an inviting beach, a vast array of shopping facilities as well as numerous restaurants, various bars, cafés and many other entertainment facilities. Sightseeing in the centre is easily reached on foot or by car and the airport is located 20 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 2 suites and 41 double rooms located in two 2-storey buildings with lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee) and a laundry service. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The complex has family rooms and 43 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pool complex includes both indoor and outdoor pools, which are in part heated. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. A range of wellness facilities, such as a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a hammam, are offered at the hotel. For a fee, guests can also take advantage of a beauty salon and massage treatments.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room and a bar. Half board can be booked. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. The complex also offers picnics. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We have just returned from our first trip to Madeira and the Quinta da Casa Branca , it is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Our room was clean and spacious .We looked forward to our breakfast which was well presented and varied from day to day.We will definitely be returning.

    Arriving late due to flight delays, the hotel had thoughtfully laid out some cold plates in our room as the kitchen had closed. So very much appreciated after a long journey. A sign of positive things to come.Breakfast each morning was a delight, vast spread of changing fruit and baking, as well as a cook to order selection which gave too many excellent choices. Attentive servers and constantly replenished buffet.The gardens are immaculate and varied, and almost put the official botanical gardens to shame. Sitting in a jacuzzi surrounded by growing bananas was delightful. As the weather improved during the week the gardens were visibly growing.The hotel was a quiet oasis in a busy part of town. The main noise being birdsong. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if wanting nightlife, but it’s perfect for relaxation and escapism to unwind and chill.We didn’t eat in the on site restaurants but there are lots of options close by.

    Thank you team that was a wonderful stay and I now have a happy wife .Your hotel was simply gorgeous,with lovely rooms,helpful reception,very good housekeeping team.We loved the food and drink with a memorable dinner on our last night .my wife loved her spa treatment and the gardens were a treat .

    Was so looking forward to going here and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing gardens food and staff. Would def go again . Rooms were really clean and comfy bed . Loved it thanks to everyone there . They brought a bottle to the room when I mentioned it was our 30 anniversary together ♥️

    If you want somewhere quiet with lovely gardens and great food then this is for you! Staff are all wonderful and helpful. So why only 3 stars? Sadly it was too quiet for us, absolutely no atmosphere and nowhere to relax in a lounge with a drink and chat. The communal areas are well furnished and 4-5 star but completely devoid of any atmosphere. Ate in the standard dining room where service and food was excellent and the same in the more formal Dining Room. But after eating there is nowhere to go and relax with an after-dinner drink. So back to the pretty tired bedroom - ours was in the old wing. Perhaps the newer double storey block is better. Had a superb meal in the Dining Room and the adjacent lounge was beautifully furnished but no one else there, no music, no hear/fire. Just dead. Service and setting and garden all 5 star, rooms 3 star at best. Such a disappointment. Drinks esp wine very overpriced. Good location with restauarnts within walking distance.
