    Horrible hotel

    rating03 Aug 2019

If you want to see animals in your food, if you want to see beetles or animals in your room, if you want to drink sour milk, if you want broken towels in your room this can be the perfect hotel for all of this. The most horrible experience in a 3 star hotel in my life. I don’t recommend this hotel. 2 weeks while I was here they did not wash once on the floor and neither did they vacuum on the floor. After all of this they don’t want to return my money. For everything I wrote above I have as proof pictures. And after all that happened they said that he was not to blame for anything even though everything I experienced was in their hotel bravamar, Gerente at Cheerfulway Bravamar Hotel, responded to this review Dear Sir; Reading what you wrote, we really don't understand your purpose and we only question one thing; If the Hotel is as bad as you say, why have you extended your stay for so many nights? Let's see: You entered for the first time with a Booking reservation, from 25 till 29 of July, and cheked out in July 29th.Day 29 of July, in the afternoon, you came directly to the Hotel again, as walk-in, and spent one more night...In July 30th extended your stay for one more night...July 31st extended your stay for another night...Day 01 of August extended your stay for two more nights...Day 03 of August extended your stay for another two nights...Sorry, but we do not understand why you have been prolonging your stay if the Hotel is as orrivel as you refer ... Anyone who does not like the Hotel, on the day of checkout goes away and never come back ..... If the Hotel is that bad, why have you extended your stay 5 times and never lodged a formal complaint? Or did you just want the Hotel to be scared and give you the money back, so you can have a free vacation ... Dear Sir, It is very ugly to use this system to have free holidays in Hotels. It is very rude and uncivilized what you did. Behave yourself Thank you

    Great Value for Money

    rating12 Apr 2019

A very friendly and helpful staff make this hotel. The weather prevented us from using the pool and the sun loungers until the last day, but the staff arranged bookings for tours and trips to Funchal on the Hotel bus. They had timetables for all the local services and provided advice on our best options. The room was OK, with a great view of the sea front. The balcony we could only use occasionally because of the weather. It worked well as a fridge for our milk and orange juice though. Some complaints have been mentioned about thin walls in the rooms. The problem is in fact a hole for an old radio system in the headboards. This allows sound to come through the walls from adjoining room. Easily fixed by a bit of filler. Building work

    rating04 Nov 2018

The hotel is in a good position on the seafront. There is a free bus service to an from Funchal. Small pool on roof an a snack bar. Most of the staff are helpful an friendly. The biggest issue is the hotel is going through a much needed refurbishment an should not be open to paying guests whilst this is being done. Noisey builders hammering concrete from 730 in the morning until 7 at night. Watching the builders climbing the scaffolding an hammering concrete whilst trying to eat breakfast is not relaxing. You can even hear it in the cafes on the beachfront. We moved rooms several times but the noise was all over the hotel. We did not get any warning before travelling. Absolutely awful management. We would not stay again. PauloP3816, Gerente geral at Cheerfulway Bravamar Hotel, responded to this review Dear Sir,We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the maintenance works.Best RegardsPaulo Parreira
