  Picturesque location and NO PARKING

  Picture quality location. Historic hotel, dated, serviceable accommodations, good WiFi, fruit and sweets for breakfast, rooftop pool, and NO PARKING! We had to park in a parking garage 5 minutes away where we had to pay by the hour and the machine only took coins. As our hotel is located in the heart of the historic centre of Câmara de Lobos, we do not have private on-site parking, and this information is clearly indicated in our hotel details prior to arrival. For this reason, we work with two nearby parking options for our guests.As explained at check-in, one of these options could be arranged directly with the hotel, with payment possible by cash or card. When parking is paid directly at the public machine, however, payment is only accepted in coins, as this is managed externally and not by the hotel.We regret that this aspect affected your overall impression, but we thank you for your comments and for highlighting the positive points of your stay.Kind regards,

  Lovely hotel with fantastic staff

  A lovely, lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff, without exception, were all great and so friendly, but special mention goes to pool man Min (from Nepal) and Leonardo in the restaurant.   Beautiful location for small select hotel, wonderful views, quaint fishing village.Very noisy with hoards of day trippers.We had room on second floor with balcony and sea view. We were looking forward to being able to sit on balcony and enjoy the views, however this was not to be. There is a public walkway/road that runs underneath balconies with a continuous stream of people walking, scooters, cars and motorcycles passing, therefore no privacy and noisy. This completely spoiled our holiday.Bedroom was spacious, however not enough storage space. Bathroom again had no storage space, apart from one shelf above sink. Shower cubicle was large, floor needed a good clean. Pedal bin (no liners and rusty) and was not emptied regularly. Plenty of hot water.All staff extremely friendly and helpful.Restaurant on third floor, breakfasts - varied selection to help yourself, coffee/tea served. Dinner is also served here.Special mention to Joao, Leandro, Claudio and all restaurant staff, very helpful and friendly. Also to Daniel on reception ( a font of knowledge) and Martin( trainee). Reception and lounge area in original building and this was also a bar serving food to the public as well as hotel guests.We won’t be returning to this hotel.   A fabulous hotel in a beautiful location

  From start to finish our 10 nights here have been fabulous. We leave (reluctantly) tomorrow! Sleeping on the first floor with a balcony has been wonderful. Listening to the waves as we fall asleep and then when we wake up.The staff are all wonderful and so helpful and friendly. So many to mention.... John from the upstairs bar, Daniel, isabelle, Anna & Martim from Reception Nadia and Eduardo- so smiley at both barsAlexandre- downstairs bar.All the staff are lovely and are a credit to the hotel. Easy to jump on the local bus and a few ubers/bolt taxi.   Charming small village on picturesque bay of small fishing boats. We stayed for 1 week - 2 nd floor room with great view.
