Location

This exclusive hotel is located in Funchal, close to the old town. From the hotel guests are offered a stunning view of the mountains and the sea. It is surrounded by 25,000 m² of romantic park-like gardens with an array of vegetation and a small lake. Links to the public transport system are located just 50 m from the hotel and from this point free shuttle buses run 4 times a day (only on week days). The immediate vicinity offers an array of shops and numerous restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and various other leisure facilities. The inviting sandy beach with its turquoise blue sea, a beautiful marina and the town centre, which is well worth a visit, are all around 1.5 km away. The airport is located around 17 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 9 suites and 31 double rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. The hotel offers a wide range of catering options. Bed and breakfast, half board and full board can be booked. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu.     This is one of our favourite holidays and now when in Madeira we always stay at Quinta Jardins do Lago, in fact this trip was our 4th stay. The location and atmosphere are perfect, the rooms are clean, spacious and great value. The quiet surroundings and beautiful gardens are just perfect for restful getaway. We love the pool with its adjacent restaurant and bar serving delicious mid day meals and as for the staff they are always smiling, friendly and ever so helpful. We will be back again in 2027.

    My husband and I stayed in this hotel in January 2026 and we love it so much that we returned last week to celebrate my birthday. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I had an unforgettable birthday there. ALL the staff, without exception, were helpful and warm. The restaurant served amazing meals every evening. It is the best hotel we have ever stayed!

    Quint Jardins do Largo is an oasis of tranquility on the outskirt of fantastic Funchal. We have stayed there many times and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Returning to the hotel is like going home.

    My husband and I booked a standard room with garden view and balcony. It was a lovely spacious ground floor room where we could sit outside with a very pleasant view of the garden. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and well maintained. There was a wide selection to choose from at breakfast which we had on the terrace each morning and was a wonderful start to the day. A couple of nights we ate in the restaurant and again the food and service were first class. The courtesy bus runs to and from Funchal and there are plenty of taxis in town which are reasonable.It was our first trip to Madeira and Qunita Jardins Do Lago and we would certainly recommend it as Madeira is beautiful and the hotel is exceptional in all aspects. All the staff in housekeeping, bar, restaurant, reception were very helpful and so friendly.
