Location

This hotel is situated in the centre of Funchal, 50 m from the cathedral and close to the Sugar Cane Museum and the house of Conde João Esmeraldo. The area in which the hotel is located is peaceful at night and offers the perfect opportunity to relax. The sea is just 50 m from the hotel, as is the bus station. Funchal Airport lies roughly 15 km away.

Facility

The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift.     Trendy but relaxing hotel. Located in the historical center close to shops and restaurants, bus stop and seaside. Colorful design lobby and premises, friendly staff. Very nice rooftop bar where life music is being presented. Breakfast is daily fresh.The restaurant next door belongs to the hotel is also recommendable for food and drinks.     We’ve just returned from our 6th visit to this lovely city centre hotel. As usual we were greeted as friends by Reception girls Priscilla and Fatima, also Andre’ hotel manager, as well as being treated to a drink and catch up with owner Ivo and Andre’ They all go the extra mile to make your stay special, there are a few types of room depending on your requirements. They all have the same attention to detail including coffee machines and fridges. Breakfast served with a smile by Anna and staff is very varied to everyone’s taste although I do think an extra coffee machine would be an asset! The hotel is within touching distance of the wonderful Cathedral, restaurants, shops and the seafront. We love it and think you would too!     A great little quirky hotel with lots of interesting artwork around the hotel. The Rooftop Terrace is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cocktail.     Perfect location and exceptional staff

    We just returned from a week here. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of old town Funchal so we walked everywhere. The cathedral is right next door. The rooftop bar is fun, with a mellow vibe, incredible views and amazing bar tenders. The included breakfast is out of this world. Check-in was smooth and all the staff, from the bar to the front desk, were exceptional. We got value for our money. So why only four stars? Our room was large and clean with good storage, a nice big window. However, the bed was soft and the bathroom fan did not work. No shampoo, only a combo hair and body-wash product. The walls are thin, we heard the TV in the neighbouring room. However, the attentive staff was was quick to call the guest with the loud TV when we asked them to.     Nice hotel for the price

    This is a quirky hotel in central Funchal,close to all bars and shops. We booked a deluxe room with a window facing the street. The room was spacius and had a shower over the bath. A microwave and small fridge. The beds are a bit hard for me but the pillows were big and soft. Rooms cleaned everyday and the staff are friendly. The breakfast room is ok but needs to be more spacious especially at peak times when you feel your on top of each other. Breakfast consisted of cereals, fruit yogurt, cheeses meats. Pastries and bread. And what they call English. Small chipolata sausages. Greasy thin bacon. Boiled eggs. Beans. And sometimes mushrooms. No fried eggs. Just scrambled or like an omelette thing. The hotel itself is very quirky with little downstairs rooms with lots of pictures and books and ornaments around. A bit clutered for me. Our flight was delayed and we had to move to a standard room 407a.. a room facing inwards with a sort of internal window. I needed the window open during the night and it was quite noisy due to that floor being directly under the roof terrace. The room is smaller and basic. No microwave but a small fridge. Glass panel separating the toilet and shower from the room. Ok if you know someone well. I don't like to hear my partner going to the toilet thankyou.overall a nice 3 star hotel. Wouldn't stay there again. No outdoor rooftop pool.only small indoor pool for 10 euros each for one hour.
