    Do yourself a favor and stay at Three House Hotel when visiting Funchal, Madeira. The management has done everything they can to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and very clean and the kitchen had top of the line appliances. Above all, the service and communication were exemplary. The 24 hour hotel staff was incredibly responsive and provided us with detailed information about everything we requested. The rooftop pool and bar were great!

    Three House Hotel is like renting an apartment with the amazing amenities of an upscale hotel. Reception is available 24 hours a day through what’s ap. You have a question , they are ready to help you out. Upon arrival they gave us a quick tour so we were aware of all of the amenities. The location cannot be beat as it’s right next to the historic district and famed Mercado dos Lavradore. And FREE parking. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen and bath modern with tasteful art touches. Washer/dryer available on the same floor at no extra charge. The rooms are impeccably cleaned every day. We found Funchal to be a great base to get to all the hikes on the island. The rooftop bar and pool were a lovely way to relax after all our hiking. And then they wrote us a goodbye letter with a box of the most beautiful chocolates. Top notch, don’t hesitate to book your room.

    We loved our stay here! We stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom apartment (the “smaller” apartment) and it was amazing! It was huge! Recently new, spacious, king bed, walk in shower, sitting area and table, two televisions with many channels, small kitchen area. Lots of great amenities! Fresh croissants every morning hanging outside our door, with jam and fruit in the room and coffee and tea in room. Water bottle refillable down the hall. Free laundry (though it is in use a lot so you have to watch) and gorgeous rooftop with pool, great views and for those who do not drink alcohol they have an amazing mocktail - lychee berry. Yum! Walking distance from old town and sites. Free parking but we did not rent a car and booked shuttles or jeep tours mostly. If you want to be in Funchal and central and stay somewhere amazing without a car or with a car, do not hesitate to book!!     Loved our stay at the Three House Hotel. It's a rare combination of thoughtful design and real functionality. The apartment-style spaces are spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and impeccably clean—everything feels new and carefully maintained, with a layout that makes it easy to settle in.The design is modern and stylish without feeling overdone, giving the hotel a calm, confident atmosphere. Service is equally strong: the staff are helpful and proactive, with seamless communication via WhatsApp and smooth, efficient check-in and check-out.The location is central, within easy walking distance of the old town, restaurants, and the waterfront, yet just removed enough to feel calm.     A friendly, comfortable self-catering hotel in the centre of Funchal.

    We spent an excellent week at the Three House Hotel. It is perfectly located if, like us, you like city centre stays. It is a short walk from the famous Mercado dos Lavradores and opposite an excellent supermarket. The sea front, old quarter, main shopping streets and main bus stops are also easily walkable,Our apartment was clean, spacious, modern and well-appointed with its own kitchen.The used the heated swimming pool on the roof most days and enjoyed cocktails and music at the roof bar on a couple of occasions.The staff were always helpful with advice on the best ways to get to places on. the island as well as the best shops, restaurants, etc.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys staying at the heart of things.
