5 suites and 100 single rooms are available to guests. The reception desk is open round the clock.     I was very wary after reading some of the reviews for this hotel I was pleasantly suprised when we arrived the Hotel is kept spotlessly clean outside and in, the reception staff were proffesional and helpful, the room 534 was fab although I admit the furniture a little dated but the room was clean and comfortable plenty of storage, great sized bathroom, balcony with amazing view, the restaraunt staff were very pleasant the food has a fabulous variety always fresh and nothing is too much trouble. The outside pools are kept clean and there are plenty of sunbeds the infinity pools are great there is a lift down to pool levels so its accessible to all the inside pools fab also.The entertainment was hit and miss but the bar and staff were good. I would not hesitate to recommend or return to this hotel.

    The hotel is in a great location between Funchal (20 minutes walk away) and Lido with beautiful coastal walks. There is also an excellent supermarket 5 minutes away and good bus services. Our room and balcony were on the 9th floor with a spectacular ocean view. The room and bathroom were clean and big enough for the two of us. However, the beds and pillows were too hard and not very comfortable. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good with enough choices although we didn't like their coffee in the restaurant and room. We used the infinity pools every day looking out to the sea which was very special. The staff and cleaners were friendly and we will definitely return.

    Marvellous time on our first holiday with our grand daughter in a family room

    We have recently returned from a ten day half board stay with our daughter and 8 month old grand daughter. We had a marvellous time. In my opinion the VidaMar resort is a great hotel to take an 8 month old who is weaning. I was a little anxious after reading some negative reviews and I would like to rectify a few points.We stayed in a family room on the 8th floor (828). Apparently there are 15 of such rooms. The accommodation was very spacious with a wonderful view of the sea. and a veranda with room for a table and 4 chairs. We had requested a cot and one was in the side room on our arrival. We also asked if there any baby baths and one was quickly delivered by house keeping. Thank you Vera and Claudio.1. Neither the mattresses nor pillows were hard.2. Our room was cleaned by housekeeping every day 3. The buffet was amazing! I didn't think that I was that keen on buffets - but both breakfast and dinner were great with plenty of choice and different hot dishes every evening and great for a baby who is weaning Sparkling wine available for breakfast!4. The staff in the dining room were super friendly and adored our grand daughter. A big shout out to Kawshar, Anik and Ellie who succeeded in their mission to make her smile. My daughter and 1 attended a Pilates class and my husband did a spinning class. The outdoor pools were a little cold, but probably refreshing when the weather gets hotter, the indoor pool was warmer.My daughter had a massage which she said was amazing.

    I travelled to Madeira with my parents and stayed three Night in this Hotel.Everything was wonderful!Especially Fabiano and Paulo were extremely nice and helpful🥰They helped me with everything,luggage,daytrips,calling Taxis etc😊They even parked my Car in the Garage,when I was struggling to get in the parkingspace😜👍The room was very nice and had a beautiful Oceanview.The Breakfast was fantastic,with everything you could wish for.Also the Poolarea,the Garden and the whole area is very well kept and clean.I would definantely recommand this Hotel🥰
