Location

The hotel is located in the characteristic neighbourhood of Antas. This port city is home to one of the oldest and richest traditions in Portugal, Port wine.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in an 11-storey building with a lift and 128 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Okay Stay in decent rooms

    Located slightly away from downtown Porto, but with good connectivity to the city. The lobby was not very large, but check-in was fairly quick. However, post that it was a bit funny! To get the wifi details, we had to fill in some forms. I had booked 2 rooms, and I scribbled something on both - the receptionist did not even bother to read what I'd written, but gave me the wifi details! Wonder why they introduced this (what I felt was a waste) system.The rooms were average-sized with a workdesk and a recliner chair. No kettle or ironing board provided. There was a minibar in the room. My room faced the expressway, but there was no noise or disturbance. The lighting in the room was very good - I really like it when hotel rooms are well-lit and not shadowy! The bath area was spacious, but with minimal toiletries.The wifi was a bit funny - every now and then, the wifi on my phone would stop working, and I would have to log in again. Bit of a headache.Breakfast was on the 1st floor and opened only at 7 sharp. To enter, you had to give your name and room number to the staff - showing the key card alone did not work! Not much of a spread.     Marriott ac hotel with no service

    I am staying at the ac hotel in Porto for 2 nights. I was traveling with a tour group. Because I have a gold elite status, I asked whether I could have an additional bottle of water. The receptionist flatly refused. Then it turns out that the coffee maker and the tea/coffee is missing in the room. I called the receptionist, and he rudely said you don't get it in your room. In other words because we traveled with a tour, they decided to remove the coffee maker and give guest no ability to heat up the water and make tea or coffee. I asked to speak with manager He said there's none, then I asked to.speak with the duty manager. He said that wasn't possible. My conclusion is that this hotel has no desire to give customer service. It is extremely disappointing to see a Marriott hotel like this. Even though the room is clean, this kind of hotel staff behavior is not acceptable at any Marriott I have never stayed in a hotel that doesn't offer any coffee or tea maker, even the cheapest hotel like Hilton garden inn or holiday inn Express would have it. I decided to give this hotel one star so that they will correct their behavior. I urge strongly that Marriott audits this hotel because they do not satisfy the standards that Marriott guests are accustomed to.     Good choice for Porto football

    This hotel is located out of the main city, with a metro station a short 5 mins walk from walk away. It is literally in the shadow of the Dragao stadium (Porto FC) so for a match it’s absolutely ideal. It’s also walking distance to the suburban trains from Contumil. The hotel itself is fine - for elite members (I am Titanium) you only get a food/drink credit, not free breakfast, and this amount won’t cover breakfast completely. Also the breakfast only started at 7am (and actually was a bit later than that) so if you need to make a fast start be aware. We were upgraded to a suite which was very spacious, and as you’d expect all he room facilities worked well. Overall a good choice.

    So knowing the distance from downtown Porto, I was prepared the it was not a big deal. The walk to the metro was good and being beside the Continente was useful for us since we did our breakfast runs there. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We booked using Marriott points and were happy with the location. Easy to get Ubers/Bolts to and from places if need be. We also did many day trips from Porto so we did spend lots of time going to the Campanha station anyways which was 1 stop away. We stayed 5 nights here.

    nightmare supper date with friends that we hadn't seen for a very long time.

    Yesterday 19sept.we had a buffet dinner at this hotel with friends,we were horrified with the quality and quantity of food,when trays emptied they were not refilled,this is unacceptable we paid and left the hotel hungry and angry.will never go back .
