    Great location, amazing views and lovely facilities. The swimming pools are just great. The meals were also very good, great breakfast buffet and good lunch at the bar! We loved it and would happily return any time for a great hotel and great staff!     A feeling of space and nature.

    We spent a night here during a cycle tour. The location of the hotel and its surroundings create a feeling of space and being close to nature. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the view from the balcony across woodland looks and feels very relaxing. The hotel is modern and cleverly designed, often giving the impression that you are one of a small number of guests before it becomes clear at breakfast that there are many more visitors than you had imagined. I’d like to make particular mention of the staff who looked after us superbly at dinner.     Hotel looks great and modern but don't know what is going on. Wondered if they had 'P & O'd' all their staff because things were not working as regards service. Service at dinner was confused, food not good (how you can have orange sponge taste of nothing is incredible) and bar staff not trained. Agree title of a previous review 'more style than substance".     More style than substance

    I stayed for 3 nights with a walking group. The setting of the hotel is attractive but the nearby town of Mondim de Basto is lacking in excitement - and good restaurants! The vibe is young and modern. My room was acceptable in an MDF way. The small terrace overlooked the roof of another building so not great and there was plenty of noise from the family in the room next door. Breakfast was OK but the restaurant was nothing like big enough for the size of the hotel, with exceptionally slow service and restaurants in Mondim were not a great option. The grounds were a nice place to sunbathe (pool was too cold for me to get in although some people did) but was plagued by flies.     Stayed 2 nights with family (total of 6 adults and 2 kids). Hotel has stunning views and the pools are amazing! Plenty of space in the gardens and sun beds. Outside the hotel, nice trails for walking embedded in the nature. Rooms were ok, clean and with big windows. On a down side, the amount of mosquitoes inside the rooms and no coffee maker. Breakfast was included, with lots of fresh baked items, altough it could have more variety of fruits and yogurts. Staff was friendly but communication was at some points inefficient (reservation for table for dinner time; towels for pool only distributed from 10am...). Overall a good hotel, would recommend.
