Location

This hotel lies on a headland between the river and the sea close to the city centre.     Lovely hotel in great location beside a beautiful beach. Clean and modern with very good breakfast. We stayed there whilst walking the Camino and were able to enjoy the pool.     Lovely outdoor facilities but very poor restaurant

    It is such a shame the facilities, pool, tennis court, ten pin bowling, games room & access to the beautiful beach are let down by the restaurant, which is possibly the worst buffet style either myself or my friend have experienced when travelling. The cold choice at both breakfast & dinner varied very little. If you want anything other than melon, orange or pineapple you will need to buy your own, as I did, with bananas being rationed to about 6 for the whole hotel. The hot food was not hot but tepid, with some diners using the microwave! The sweets were lovely but again like the bananas you had yo be quick. We had to ask for hot water on 2 mornings, as even the hot water 'urn' was hardly tepid. Meals & drinks served in the bar were inconsistent, quality depending on who served you.The cleaning of the rooms were hap hazard, the beds were very hard with uncomfortable foam pillows.

    Hotel is basic, clean and rooms are adequately furnished. Good sized beds with firm mattresses. Hotel has in-house bowling alley and outside tennis courts. Grounds are well kept and there is some outdoor staffing. Plenty of loungers available around the pool area. One letdown is the restaurant (we were half board) where we failed to find a single dish which was hotter than just tepid, this included breakfast items, ie scrambled egg. Better to eat in the local restaurants.

    The hotel as a whole was impressively clean and well kept, with guest rooms that felt modern, bright, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was another highlight: plenty of variety, dishes that were genuinely delicious, and service that was both fast and attentive. Staff members were consistently polite and welcoming, which made the stay all the more enjoyable.

    This 4 stars hotel is perfect for relaxing with family or as a couple. The hotel looks old but for us the service and price are lovely.Pros:1. LocationThis hotel is located a bit far from the city center of Esposende, but we are okay since we are here for relaxing.The hotel has fast access to Ofir Beach. It is next to the beach. There are some restaurants nearby if you will not take lunch or dinner in the hotel. The choices re limited. Since we are traveling by car, we drive more to the National Way to get good food for lunch and dinner.2. Service-BookingWe called them first before booking to check the availability. We find out that booking through their own website somehow is cheaper than OTA. It is good for them since they did not need to pay commission.They accept payment by Multibanco or MBWAY while we do booking.- Check-inThe check in procedure went smoothly and fast. The receptionist man is very kind and nice. He speaks English well.- BreakfastBreakfast is included in our booking. Since our last visit in 2020, the food is almost the same. They have great variety of choices for breakfast, such as bread, fresh fruits, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh juice, etc.The staffs are very kind and nice. They greet us warmly. The breakfast area can handle until 250 people. You can enjoy the breakfast with sea view in the morning.I saw so many people in queue for coffee. Since I didn't drink coffee, I have no problem.3. RoomOur room is sufficient and spacious for 3 of us. The bed is comfortable, the pillow is comfortable, and everything is clean. The room decorations are cute. We have garden view from our room. It is beautiful.The bathroom is clean. The amenities are almost complete, soap, shampoo, hairdryer, and clean towels. The hot water works perfectly.TV is working well. There is safety box and small fridge inside the wardrobe.The problem that we have probably is just the AC. Somehow we could not feel the cold.4. Facilities- Swimming poolThere is only 1 pool and it is outdoor pool. The sunbeds are there for the guests. A green grass is there around the pool.- Tennis courtIf you want to play tennis, there is a tennis court next to the pool.- PlaygroundThere is a playground next to the pool. It is quite big.- Football fieldThere is a football field near the pool, next to the beach.- SpaThe spa is next to the pool. You can have beauty treatment or massage here.- Bar and RestaurantThey offer lunch and dinner buffet if you are interested. They have the information on the lift.- BowlingIt is located near the bar. You need to pay for this game.Cons:1. WIFIWe stayed in the second floor. The internet somehow is so slow especially around 20:00 Maybe because they have many guests.2. ParkingThe parking is actually free for the guests, but it is limited. It is a bit difficult to find a parking spot for a car, so we must park outside.
