Location

This city hotel is situated near the university area and provides easy access to highway A 3. The Douro River and the historical city centre, with its businesses, churches, monuments and museums, are a few minutes from the hotel. Guests will find a range of restaurants, bars, shops and clubs just a 5-minute drive from the hotel and São João bus station is just a 5-minute walk away. It is a 20-minute drive to the nearest beach, and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is approximately 9 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 16 junior suites, 5 suites and 124 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Lovely Stay in a Peaceful Location

    Lovely clean hotel in a quiet location. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day sightseeing.Breakfast offered plenty of choice and was very enjoyable each morning. It would have been even better to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, especially after a long afternoon out exploring.There is also a lovely little cafe just a few minutes walk from the hotel which is very reasonably priced.The metro station is around a 10 minute walk away, making it easy to get around and see the sights.Overall, a pleasant stay and we would happily return.     The hotel is treated as a place to rest after exploring the city. Getting anywhere is only possible by taxi. Clean, tidy, and without any fuss.     I had a pleasant 4 day stay ay this hotel. The welcome drink, well stocked fridge tea making facilities in the room were nice touches that enchanced the experience.Staff were attentive and helpfil. I did not have any meals so I cannot comment on the food.Rooms were spacious, equipped with flat screen TV, the shower pressure was great, all facilities modern.My only issue was the location of this hotel was a bit far out from Porto city centre however I walked 14 minutes to the metro (journey only 15 mins to the centre) though this gets a bit tedious if you are staying more than a few days.Overall it was a good hotel and I would probably stay here again.

    Modern Hotel with 5* Service

    Due to arriving after midnight we were given a corner room on the second floor which was a bit tired, had a tile missing on the floor, the bathroom door hit the bidet and there was no black tea or milk which was disappointing after a delayed flight and not having a drink for hours.But the following morning reception arranged for our bags to be moved to a room on a higher floor while we were out exploring. On our return everything had been moved (even our chocolate bars in the fridge). This was a standard room with an excellent bathroom (bath, shower cubicle, basin, toilet and bidet. There were only 3 hanger and no USB port but these were all rectified by reception. In fact all queries, requests or help required were dealt with immediately by receptionists Jose, Rui and Rita.Spa pool was small and jets not working so it was half price. You do need flip flops and cap to enter.Very good breakfast selection, constantly replenished as very busy.Quiet location with easy access to metro and buses. Supermarket just behind hotel and a few eating places.My only complaint is, I originally thought people were moving furniture around in adjacent rooms at all hours? Then realised it’s one of the lifts which intermittently makes a very loud scrapping sound!!!

    Lost jewelry

    My husband and I stayed here 3 night. On Sat May 17 we checked out. I left my jewelry in the hotel room and recognized my mistake, It was in a zippered sealed jewelery case. I called the hotel and they said nothing showed up. We were in room 516. I no longer expect to get my jewelry back, a few items were from my Mom who passed away in July. I am heat broken. I left it in the room but no one turned it in. I hope karma works In this case. Absolutely no help when I called to inquire and checked with the main desk the next day!Imagine if this was you. I made a mistake. We are all human. I am normally so very careful, but no honest person turned it in!! I am so mad!Michele Randell
