    Just find another place to stay

    The total rudeness of the checkin experience was like nothing I have encountered.You would think you might see the common thread with your one star ratings, and that is total rudeness of staff.You would think if you don’t like people you would not be in the hospitality industry.It’s just mind boggling.And second huge issue …., mould.If you are thinking of staying , reconsider, and do yourself a favour, find elsewhere. Small, noisy, run down rooms, too. There is no design. Just a tiny noisy run down room.There is mould in entire building. Our room stunk of the air freshener they had plugged in, to disguise it, which made you gag, and then when you pulled it out of the socket, the room stunk of sewerage and mould.The shower has two pages of instructions. And was still a trickle.And there is no coffee only paper cups.

    I arrived in Caminha at 13:00 in the pouring rain as part of my camino. I didn't expect to be able to check-in so early, and was prepared to leave my pack while I went to look for lunch. Much to my surprise, I was allowed to check-in to my room, the whimsically decorated Video Game room. The staff was also kind enough to lend me an umbrella while I went out for a couple hours in the afternoon.

    The hotel location is great. Right on the town square and it looks lovely from the outside but inside was terrible. Our room had a superhero cartoon theme which was horrible. It was overwhelming. Why do this in a building of such character. There is a pool which we were looking forward to using but you can’t use it unless you have a swimming cap. They do not have swimming caps to buy so we couldn’t use the pool. Only place in 2 months of travelling we needed a swimming cap. The worst part of this hotel was the staff. They were rude and couldn’t have been more unhelpful. We asked basic questions regarding the town and local place that every other hotel we stayed the reception staff were happy to answer (give maps or recommendations). Not here. They were just rude.

    Very Strong Moldy and Musty Odor

    Hotel rooms above the pool have a very strong moldy and musty odor. Signs of dampness and black mold. Because of this problem, I stayed at a nearby hotel. Design&Wine Hotel Management/Owner refused to reimburse our pre-paid room reservation. Definitely would not recommend this hotel due to this experience.

    Unfriendly reception staff on arrival and air conditioning not working in our room and it was freezing inside!!! After numerous requests given a small noisy fan heater. No apology or care - it was a 7degree night!Restaurant in hotel overpriced, food inedible and again the space was cold.
