    We were here for two nights, but for us it was disappointing. It says: 4 stars resort, but in that case you would expect something different.The lady in the restaurant was very friendly, no doubt, but the meals were below 4 stars. We both had pain in the back from the beds.

    We had a good stay here, for the most part. The staff was lovely, unfailingly helpful and courteous. We did not have a balcony in the room, so it was a bit darker than we like, but otherwise pleasant. Comfortable bed and bath, but no WiFi in the room.Other amenities were a sauna, which I couldn’t get to be hot, an indoor pool and an extensive outdoor pool that was very refreshing. The restaurant had a decent brunch- only had dinner once as there were other places we wanted to try. One morning we made a reservation to tour the nearby caves - that was a delightful tour, different from the other production wineries we visited. Ucanha is also an interesting town with Roman architecture.

    This is a beautiful hotel surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with the magnificent Douro River just along the road. Unfortunately we were only here for one night but in all my years and on all my travels I have never found more friendly and welcoming staff. They simply couldn't have made us feel more at home. We will undoubtedly return.

    What a pleasant surprise! Nestled in the Douro valley a quaint new hotel. What really impressed me was the staff! They were outstanding, they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, especially the blond receptionist. The breakfast was also very good. A must stay!

    I have just spent the weekend at this hotel, this is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in, excellent value for money , place is spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful if they tried . Rooms are spacious and airy with stunning views, the food on offer was of excellent standard I honestly can't praise the place any higher..... Well worth a visit if you are in the area
