  be careful for nonrefundable deals

  All went well with reservation via hotels.com ( was full nonrefundable rate) until covid-19 when ryan air canceled our flight. i know, right is nonrefundable rate is nonrefundable, but made contact to Charm Apartments and they told me they can not cancel this reservation, i must do it and they will move our reservation for new time (i sent them new date for flight). They nothing told about higher rate before we canceled this reservation. When we canceled reservation and inform apartment about it, they told october is high season and we have now vaucher valid one year. Hm, not friendly, but in end ok. Problem is that now, when we want make new reservation, nobody answer us. .... Not trusted, was better that they told: you canceled this reservation, is nonrefundable, it is your fault, not ours, but like they just decide to be silent.

  Fantastic apartment right in the Center

  Charm apartments are located on one of the main streets in Porto within easy walk of all local tourist attractions and a short walk to Sao Bento Metro line...My apartment was a 1 bedroom duplex, accessible by stairs or lift- with separate seating area, kitchenette, bedroom & balcony...(not suitable for disabled guests due to stairs to the bedroom)The apartment was fantastic & spotless with all the amenities you would require and in all honesty with the exception of a low ceiling in the bedroom (which didn’t really bother me) I couldn’t fault the place.Check in was a breeze and the manager onsite was very helpful indeed.All in all a great find in Porto and exactly what I was looking for.Many thanks

  The location is simply perfect, as well as the staff. If you want to be in the heart of Porto and do not want to spend a fortune this the place to be. The room has all the necessary services, including a small and fully equipped kitchenette. Highly recommended!

  From minute we arrived, Ricardo the manager was amazing. Made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do any more for us. The apartment was beautiful, great area and much bigger than expected. The delivery of fresh breakfast to the door every morning at a time that suited us was a great surprise and a lovely touch. Will definitely stay here again when in Porto.

  Charming with a modern twist

  Charm Apartments was a great find. Located in an old building on Rua Flores just down the road from Sao Bento railway station and up the hill (there a few of them in Porto!) from the river. The transformation in the building is amazing with new wooden floors and stairs but also some really old original timber framing kept intact on the side of the staircase (don't worry, there is an elevator as well). Our apartment (203) was great - a balcony at the back, a decent though smallish bathroom and well equipped kitchen area with two hobs, a microwave, toaster and ample crockery, cutlery and pans. Host Ricardo was very genial and helpful and on arrival you are offered a glass of port or a coffee which is a nice touch.
