Location

Located in the tourist centre of the town, this hotel lies just 10 km from the beach and within 100 m of the nearest shops as well as Torre dos Clerigos. The famous Café Majestic is located just 300 m away and the cathedral is 500 m from the hotel. The nearest port wine cellar is only around 800 m away and the airport is 12 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 5 junior suites, 2 suites, 4 single rooms and 29 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     30 days before my trip the hotel cancelled by confirmed reservation that I made 5 months ago. Left me scrambling to find a new hotel at the last minute. TrVeling with another family member and her reservation was also canceled. Would not book this hotel.

    Very old fashioned with limited facilities. Excellent views from our top floor balcony room. I noticed the windows in the rooms on the same floor were too high to see out of. Bed would have been comfortable if it’s wasn’t for the plastic mattress protector that made us hot and crinkled when we moved. There was a kettle in our room but no tea, coffee etc. these were provided when asked for at reception. Milk was given to us in a cup. There is no fridge to store milk in the room. Carpets on the stairs above reception were very worn. There is a lift but you have to negotiate around 10 steps from the street to access it, not disabled friendly. Continental breakfast choice was limited, breakfast room was very in inviting with plastic on tables. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to many sightseeing locations and very close to metro station.

    Perfect location for exploring central Porto. Walking distance to many places but also a stones throw away from a metro station. Perfectly placed. Hotel itself is old fashioned and the room and bathroom were very small but it was absolutely fine for just me! Hotel is old fashioned but charming and the reception staff were so welcoming and lovely! Also very quiet despite it's central location.

    This is an absolutely lovely Hotel! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the views are amazing. It's quite an old-fashioned hotel but that makes it more charming and we would highly recommend it. It's also a perfect location for exploring Porto as its very centrally placed.

    Stayed here for a few days. It was really good value. Brilliant location. The room was spotless with old world charm. The staff were so friendliest and so helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel
