    Good location

    rating05 Apr 2026

Just back from a short stay here. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The decor is a never ending brown all over the place. Brown carpet, brown walls, brown hallways. However we were out and about visiting the city so that was not an issue. Overall the experience was very good. The receptionists are rather unfriendly and strangely snooty which is a pity as they are front of house. The staff in the restaurant and bar are more customer oriented. Breakfast was decent. We ate once in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. The bar on the 17th floor is well run and the view is stunning from there. The location is very handy. A few things could be improved but I would stay there again.

    Disappointed overall

    rating18 Nov 2025

Stayed for 4 nights for the marathon in porto. Great location and breakfast was plentiful. However very disappointed overall as they wanted an extra charge for everything. When asked if I could have a poached egg instead of scrambled for breakfast there was a charge! I have never come across this even when staying in a budget hotel! Likewise when I asked for two flutes to to take to room to drink champagne following completion of marathon there was a charge for this also! Again unbelievable! There was a coffee machine with two pods each and if we wanted more we had to pay! We were there for four nights so in my opinion should be replenished on a daily basis (same amount supplied for one night as there was for 4!) Also we made friends with two other coupled who informed us that the hotel was celebrating anniversary and they were given complimentary wine and treats upon arrival in room . We never had this even though I was celebrating my 50th birthday and also completing the marathon. Will not stay here again !!

    Meh.

I don't know how they achieve 4 stars. We arrive to front desk early, 10am, we know check in isn't until 3pm, but we disembarked a cruise, so here we are.I was next in line to check in and when it was my turn, woman at desk kept her head down. No acknowledgment until the bellman tapped on the desk.We check in and then we are left to sit on couches as it is a rainy day and of course our room isn't ready. I do know that there were empty rooms last night so I return to front desk and ask woman if I upgraded to a suite, can we check in earlier? This was apparently upsetting to her. If I were a manger, I would be happy to UPSELL a room and get my guests into a room so they are not looking like a tired group of unhoused loiterers looming about the lobby. Anyhow, she raised her voice and said, 'not til 3, I cannot check you in to a room until 3'!I walked away. I decided to kill some time and pay for a 60 min massage around the corner... wouldn't you know it, when I returned to the hotel at 12:30/1pm, she indeed checked my family into our rooms...... I did't HAVE to go get that massage after all.The bathroom has no wash cloths, the full tub is difficult for an 85 year old mother to navigate, the doors are heavy and the slamming keeps you up all night. Dark hallways, overall drab vibe. No vibe, actually.I'm an experienced traveler, I would not chose this hotel in the future. Godspeed.

    Stuck in the 70’s

    rating18 Sept 2025

We opted for floor 16 for view…not worth the upgrade. Hotel decor is stuck in the 70’s…dull and boringHad to pay for wine glasses in our room and would not let us bring coffee to our roomGreat location if driving as it is beside parking solo. I’d skip this place
