English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine.     I loved the bed!!! King size, comfortable mattress! My room gave me access to a roof terrace. I did not spend much time in the hotel however really enjoyed that it was at walking distance from lots of shops, restaurants and bars!Good compromise between affordable price and central location.     Nice hotel, but a bit small for tall people.

    I'll start with the positives, service the best I've seen in recent times. Good breakfast, included in the price. Bed though small was comfortable.But now I have to point out less good aspects of the hotel. Some of the things were designed for normal people, for example the distance between the washbasin and the toilet that forced me to sit on my side. Another thing that made me confused was the bathroom door which in order for me to enter the bathroom, had to enter sideways. Carpet on the floor and a shower again too small, are more things that I have to point out as negatives.     Stayed here many times when working in Amarante. Lots of building work has been going on for the past year. A big problem with cold breakfast, not nice to eat cold scrambled egg! They continually fail despite complaining. Front desk staff very rude, particularly middle aged woman who has been there for many years. Seems a lack of management, who never appear to be around. Told I would be contacted by a manager after my recent visit. Never happened. Sort that difficult woman out on reception and things would improve. I have stopped booking. Great shame as I must be one of their most regular customers!     Lovely place to stay in Amarante

    We were in Amarante for a Habitat for Humanity build and stayed a number of nights at the hotel. It was well located and within walking distance of so many sights in Amarante.Many of the staff spoke english which was wonderful and they were all very helpful.The rooms were well appointed and had lovely linens. The laundry service was excellent and not too expensive.There is a grocery store close by so we were able to buy snacks, beer and wine to enjoy after our long days at the build.We were able to walk to so many excellent restaurants.The breakfasts were varied and great.Wonderful place to stay and would recommend it to others.     Comfy clean hotel with friendly staff and great variety of breakfast food. The single room was clean and the bed well prepared. The bathroom was small and the door wouldn't open fully,so a few bumps getting into the toilet. Great location for walking through the village. Supermarket and a variety of shops just under the hotel.
