Location

The hotel has a prime location on the shores of the Tua River and is next to the hospital and shopping district of Bragança. Guests can see breathtaking views of the river and the Old Bridge Mirandela.

The hotel has a lift and features 166 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions.     Great location, good facilities, terrible coffee!

    Entrance to the hotel by car is slightly tricky as it’s just off a roundabout. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was super comfortable, spacious and very clean and the hotel is in a great location, with free parking on site or paid garage parking. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom very nice with plenty of hot water in the large walk-in shower and good towels. Breakfast would have been excellent with a great choice of fruit, pastries, meat, cheese and several hot options but the coffee and watery orange juice let it down. All the coffee options we tried tasted like instant and the juice tasted like an orange drink, not real juice. Elsewhere in Portugal, the orange juice has always been fabulous. Aside from the coffee and juice, it was an excellent stay. Location convenient for the old-town. Highly recommended and great value for money.     A comfortable hotel, even if I am not sure about the 4 stars but we had a very good deal because of the low season so, we can’t complain. It is ideally located if you want to be at the spa every day. The restaurant offers a small choice, good enough if you are staying 2 or 3 nights. The problem, at least when we were there (in December), was that some kind of an air conditioning system is in operation which cannot be switched of, it was a freezer for dinner.     This hotel is well situated and has spacious rooms and we were able to park our motorbikes outside the front entrance. WiFi and TV was good. However there were a few not so good points. Housekeeping was poor. We had to ask for basic amenities and the bathroom had a bad smell. Breakfast choices were limited and there was no variety.     Travelling from Santander ( H O G) to Faro, we decided to visit Chaves and stay at this Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful,loved the availability of the underground parking, The Room was immaculate and very comfortable, although no iron in Room and be careful if you are going to take a Bath, very slippery! Would have loved to use the pool but it was out of use during our duration! Breakfast was spot on, plenty of choice, overall experience was a very pleasant and positive one!     Very well received, kind and dedicated staff, we travelled on a motorcycle which was aloud to stay in the front of the hotel, where it was safe. The room was very nice and quiet. The shower was very good, the breakfast exceeded the expectations.
