    Couples half board stay

    Fabulous stay at this lovely hotel, the staff were amazing. They put a kettle in our room after I requested one which was so kind. We opted for half board, while the breakfast was brilliant the evening meals weren't worth the money, 2 nights there was no starters and some meals weren't cooked well although when this was mentioned to staff they went above and beyond to make the last meal memorable. Beds were comfy and the whole place was very clean. Loved the large outdoor pool. The scenery is beautiful with a little dog and a couple of cats wondering round. Overall a joyus stay and we would love to stay again.

    I stayed here earlier in June and I simply cannot say how amazing the hotel was. It was such an incredibly calm and quiet place to stay. The hotel itself is tastefully furnished and off the beaten track which was just what I was looking for. The staff were amazing. Filipa was just superb and was friendly, efficient and always had a beautiful smile whenever I needed anything and Conceicao looked after me like I was a member of the family. I loved learning Portuguese with you both, thank you so much. The hotel is rural and once in the village you need a taxi to get to it or get a taxi from Braga station for €20 but once you are there it’s peace personified. The pool was lovely, the food basic but then Portuguese food is that way with fish, chicken and meats on the menu but lovely and if you eat in the hotel it’s inexpensive too. My room was superb, very clean hotel and the best part of my stay in Northern Portugal.Thank you all so much for making me so welcome.

    Situated in a quiet place is good for those who want to relax, knowing that braga and guimaraes are nearby as well as the national park.The hotel have a nice rustic decoration in the lobby; the room had signs of humidity on the walls and no heating in the bathroom.The staff is friendly but, maybe because of the amount of work, sometimes you wait for too long and the approach to the guests is not the best.The food in the restaurant and at breakfast (continental) is good and sufficient.No mobile network and very weak internet signal in the room.While not having enjoyed all the hotel's facilities, the indoor pool and gym looked nice.

    My room had ants (I killed 20 of them), it wasn't like the pictures in the internet. But the location and the enviroment were great. The breakfast was good, great croissants, but there were no employees at the room to help you or listen if you needed something. The bathroom is too small, I hit my head in the sink twice. It's too expensive for what they're offering.

    We booked a program that turned out to be a total failure: 2 (massage and gastronomic experience) of the 3 activities included were not available! And we were compensated financially (for just one of the activities) only after we threatened to make a written complain! Terrible management!The hotel lack proper conservation: • outside pool was dirty• there were stretches on every wall• restaurant chairs had lots of stain• diner was “served” on a cooking pan• very little room and bathroom• hair dryer was not working properly • Hotel photos of rooms are very deceiving (ours didn’t look at all like the ones we can seem on the internet)…DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
