    A few days in Porto

    rating26 May 2026

Very good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and good, maybe some places would need a little reparation but it really was worth of money. I would return. Thank you.

Satisfactory Hotel in a great location

    rating10 May 2026

This hotel is a perfectly acceptable hotel in a great location. I think their 3* rating is fair and representative. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and overall it was affordable. Our room had a balcony but there was a lot of moss and algae near it. The balcony door seal also seemed to be expired as it was letting in some rain water. The room itself where the beds are was a bit small but strangely it had a large entrance area and a large bathroom. There is 2 elevators but they are very small so if your party is bigger than 2 or 3 people some will have to wait or take the stairs. Breakfast was nice however the Wi-Fi was pretty shocking and could barely load a video on your phone. Overall I probably would stay here again if I was in Porto and wanted affordable accommodation

A Perfect Base To Explore Porto

    rating19 Feb 2026

I loved staying in this hotel. The room was modernised well but still comfortable - a standard size for a single room, but the space was well designed and pleasant. Practical bathroom, good aircon/heating and everything was kept very clean. The view from my window was a superb vista over the rooftops of the city centre, all the way to Clerigos Tower. The staff were especially friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast was good but I only had it on my first morning and explored other options on the following days - and there are plenty of options, as the hotel is right on Batalha Square and is walking distance from most central features of the city and close to Sao Bento Rail Station/Metro Lines. Walking further afield is easy - Bolhao market, shopping streets, craft ale bars and great restaurants are all nearby, but getting around from this hotel is straightforward and (in my experience) very safe. I don't normally write many reviews but when a place is this good I think the excellent service deserves to be recognised.

    FITS THE BILL

    rating09 Nov 2025

The hotel's location is very good, close to restaurants, bars, etc. It is also in easy walking distance of attractions and shops. The rooms are spacious enough but quite plain but also very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure for a shower. One odd thing is a lack of lights. There are no ceiling or wall lights, only lamps. Overall it is well worth staying here.

    Location, location, location

    rating04 Oct 2025

We booked 3 rooms. One had an amazing view of the square, two rooms had windows over the kitchen which was ok as long as they didn't open the windows. The staff was very friendly. Our friend had a medical emergency and although that couple didn't speak English or Portuguese they were able to assist and call an ambulance for him. We really appreciated that. The AC units were a bit tricky to work, the elevators are tiny and don't fit much, but it's understandable - it's an old building and the location makes up for it. The location couldn't be better - right on Batalha square with plenty of shops and restaurants all around us! We could walk everywhere!Rooms were clean, breakfast was ok although skip the scrambled eggs - they have no taste at all and go for the hard boiled ones. Fresh orange juice machine so you can make your own juice!!!!! That was amazing!Overall I think it's a great hotel for the value and the location can't be beat.
