    Really disappointing stay. Unfriendly receptionist, dark and gloomy decor in need of updating, our room had a view of scruffy backyards. Very poor soundproofing and noisy neighbours. Breakfast was limited and felt like a school canteen. Avoid.

    This is a nice hotel right in the centre of the town and near a lovely big beach. The room was big. My shower head did spray water everywhere but that was a minor quibble. The breakdlfast was not great - quite basic but they did have gluten free bread. A nice place.

    Bugs in the beds

    We were travelling with family and spent one night at Hotel Luso Brasileiro, June 20, 2023. We arrived, put our bags in our room, left for dinner, then returned to sleep. Two of our group woke up the next moring to find the beds were crawling with bugs. We immediately went to the front desk and were offered nothing but a can of raid. We had to deal with washing all of the clothes and disinfecting the luggage and backpacks ourselves, at our own expense. In addition, one of our group had bug bites all over her arms and legs. While the hotel did refund one night's stay, we have tried in vain to reach out to the hotel to be reimbursed for the extra expenses we incurred. They completely ignore our requests.

    This is an old hotel but everything works. My room contained a full bathroom (shower over bath). Breakfast was not startling just OK. It was a basic room but clean. Lift is old and slow which was frustrating.

    A spotlessly clean hotel less than a minutes walk from the beach. The foyer and rooms are a little dated, but this is compensated by welcoming staff and spotlessly clean rooms. At check-in, you are given your television remote control. It made me chuckle, but I suspect they have lost enough over the years to sink a ship. My room, was on the 4th floor at the back. It was quiet and had a large balcony. The breakfast wasn’t particularly good - a very simple choice of bread, ham, cheese and some yoghurts. You could pay extra for fresh orange juice and eggs. There was something bizarrely odd about it, but as there are so many places you can enjoy breakfast nearby; it’s wasn’t a problem. I’d certainly stay there again. Location is perfect.
